I'm sure you'll find enough Japanese honorifics to use for people to go with the current Aerith theme.

But if they fuse with the earrings, they'll never be able to un-fuse (it's mentioned somewhere that Goku and Vegeta un-fused in a special way, otherwise they'd be stuck forever)

And thus we'd lose one of the hottest yuri couples ever :O

-kun can also be used sometimes for girls, but it's not used that much.
