I watched the series premiere of 'Arrow' last night and liked it quite a bit. But I can see how the whole 'stranded on island thing' could seem cheesy and I guess I was wondering what y'all thought of it. :randompoke:

i completely forgot i wanted to watch this until today. i can't remember what channel it was on, but hopefully i'll be able to get it on catch up or something. i heard about it about a week ago and thought it has a good premise, but could easily be a big disappointment. i'll probably give it about four or five episodes and judge

we're two episodes in in the uk now, and i'm not overly impressed so far. it's an obvious batman rip off, even though it's by dc as well, and it borrows heavily from that and it all feels like it's nothing i haven't already seen before, but not as good. there's a lot of room for potential, but it feels like it's moving too slow and will very likely get cancelled after the first season.

I'm about 5 episodes in. I did see the resemblance to Batman, as you mentioned earlier and there are some cliches I'm not happy about, but I'm gonna keep watching and hoping that things heat up.

Well Ive seen ten eps by now and I like it a lot. This show grew on me. Although not sure The Green Arrow from the comics or animations actually kill people.

I like the flashbacks from him when he was on the island. I wanted more of them just to find out what the hell he went through.

I thought Helena was an amazing character.

Resemblances to Batman indeed, but this guy has more issues to handle.
His own family issues, his love issues. Who can he trust and who not.

I like the way he works out its insane it makes the hood more believable.

A lot of things dont make sense though. He is always off when Arrow comes in action. He came back from the Island and suddenly Arrow has appeared.

Finally Laurels father got him busted on camera yet through a mediocre polygraph he persuaded or convinced him that hes not the Hood.
Im dubious about tht lame list. Wtf is this the elite/illuminati or something.?

Im still gonna keep watching though cause it definitely has depth for a show.

It has improved so much lately. I didn't think the story was going anywhere about 10 episodes in but the whole Island flashback storyline has suddenly become a lot more interesting with Slade involved now, i heard recently that he has been kept on as a main character for the next season with Felicity which is great news

Not really sure what to make of him reveling himself to so many people though.. thought only Dingle would be the one who would know is identity throughout the whole of this series but Tommy, Felicity and Helena all know who he is now as well.
