Arctic Monkeys

Is that tomorrow evening? I'm definitely going to be listening to that if they are. They're top of my list for bands to see live. I think they'd be totally amazing, especially from what I saw of them on TV when they played at the Leeds Festival last year
 
yeah i heard theyr pretty good live aparantly muse are a hell of a lot better, but i dont believe it. i think theyr playin at t in the park this year i need to get tickets cuz i didnt go last year
 
You dont believe Muse are better live then AM? Are you feeling okay? Muse are fantastic live, just Matt hitting his high notes is fabulous.

hahahaha well actuallyi do have a sore head. anyway i prefer arctic monkeys to muse so id obviously say they ARE better
 
But I dint understand how they are better. IMO their records just sound the same. AM just sound the same, but thats my opinion.

The thing with Muse is that they changed after starting out, eg the whole they copied Radiohead bullcrap. They went down a different path.
 
no ur right they didnt copy radiohead i HATE radiohead with a burning passion btw. i like the idea behind am songs, the whole british culture thing. Theyl never be as great as the libertines tho

I think the Kaiser Chiefs "The Angry Mob" is a good tracka bout British culutire, going on about 24 hour drinking, etc. Fair enohg AM look at British culture, but its like I know this already lol. But Im not much of a Libertines fan, cant stand Pete Docherty.
 
yeah i predict a riots another good one. ALthough im not a kaiser chiefs fan, i prefer the fratellis :O no like libertines aww. i love pete doherty hes brilliant even if he is a junkie.
 
Nah, Im getting sick of hearing about him in the press. Hes just beyond irrtating me lol! Fratellis are good also, but Im a massive KC fan.
 
Well, Favourite Worst Nightmare is everything I hoped it would be :) It's definitely up to the standard they set with Whatever People Say I Am That's What I'm Not. I really love 'D Is For Dangerous', 'Flourescent Adolescent' and 'This House Is A Circus' but the rest of the album is friggin' awesome too
Anyone else get it today then?

Well it'll be worth the wait. I've already listened to it 3 times since about 4pm xD There is actually one bad song on it though :sad: I can't remember the name, but it's number 6. It just doesn't seem like an Arctic Monkeys song...

Well I'm certainly not disappointed. 11/12 isn't bad, and it's forgivable considering I like every other song that they've recorded. I can see this being a best seller very soon quick again
 
I haven't kept up on them much lately, but I know that there is a tour coming up. I think it's a sold out one though :sad: I'm not 100% about that though, because if you chek ticketmaster.com the only event listed is in Manchester some time in June or July, and tickets aren't on sale for it yet. I'd love to go, but obviously if it's sold out, there's a slight problem with that :sad:
 
id defo go but i dunno if id be willing to travel down to england to see them, although if theres a tour it should definately be all over the uk i would think
 
just bought the album havent gave it a proper listen yet but its sounding good. i agree with you about track 6 tho it dont sound like them its kinda slow
 
well i gave the album a good listen and i really like it although i think their debut whatver people say... is far better many of the songs sound really similar. i really like fluorescent adolescent and 505 and the bad thing is really good aswell.
8/10 good album but no as great as their first
 
Yeah, those three, as well as Brianstorm are the best on the album. I think Whatever People Say was better, because the songs were a little more upbeat and most of them had a better base line. That doesn't take anything away from Favourite Worst Nightmare though. It's one of the best albums I've ever heard
