I assume this is a thread on discussing Arcade Mode as a whole? I'll just go with that
Well, I haven't played Arcade that much but what I have played of it is quite fun, having set skills, equips, summons etc made it quite challenging (good for me, since all my characters are 100 with a sizeable amount of abilities learned)
I'm not sure about specifics, but the last time I went at it, I got rather turned off by the weaker equipments and skills. Furthermore, since I spend more of my time in the other modes, which boasted characters with a significantly stronger skill set, it does take some time getting used to. Which also becomes a reason for me to dislike the Arcade Mode.
That, and the fact the AI feels so easy for some unknown reason. ...Or maybe because I'm good. To be more humble, I suppose I'll say it just seems easy for me to defeat them.
Arcade mode huh?. well.. I only played arcade mode because..
I needed a lot of recipe items for the rossetta stone so.. i just played time attack till i had enough..
Hmmmm Arcade is a fun mode but hard mode Arcade is better. I find both of them easy too but I just do it for the itens at the end. Also in normal mode they have only like 4 abilities.
Ugh, I don't like Arcade Mode very much, I like using my Level 100 characters with all their equipment, accessories, and skills/abilities, Arcade Mode restricts the character's actions greatly, and I really don't like that, I don't like being tampered with by some piece of electronic retardedness...
ive tried time with seph but i didn make it att all. i was fighting half an hour and i still was at fight 7 or so. then i got mad and quited time. it sucks. i dont want to play it.
I haven't even tried Time Attack...not sure I want to, doesn't matter what part of Arcade mode it is, I just don't care for my character's ability being greatly restricted.
I have had PP Catalog 99% complete for an age...what the heck could be missing? I've gotten a handful of characters up to Level 100, beaten Inward Chaos with two a Hero and a Villain... >_>'
well there isnt really much to say on this, arcade mode only really becomes useful once you unlock time attack mode, and i suppose it is good practice for beginners but other than that, story mode and duel colisseum are much better ways to spend your time
oh in answer to your question, my favourite character is gabranth, i didnt really like him to begin with but once i levelled him up he really started to come into his own and he is the only character i have managed to beat inward chaos with
I only really did arcade mode for the choco cologne since its a decent luck item to start story mode with, not to mention you can trade them in for levels when you start getting hold of the better luck items like rosetta stone.
If you are real good, you have totally no need for the chocobo cologne as you can level up so much quicker by other means. The only character that I've done well with is WoL and I need to be more organised against zidane and Chaos. Any tips to help?
I like arcade mode but only because for the price of 5 battles and 1000gp I can go up a level. Otherwise its just a fail by SE. When will they learn.:ed:
Well, Arcade mode lacks in customization which i hate but gives me an insight of the characters which helps me to choose who to level. My best time in Time Attack is around 27mins.
I managed to just scrape through Time Attack in 12 minutes and 10 seconds with Cloud, got beaten the first time by Chaos, or id've managed in 9 minutes Jecht was probably the most time consuming of the lot tbh.
I tried a run with Zidane which took a teeny bit longer at 13 minutes
Once I got the accomplishment i've stayed well away, Chaos annoyed me too much
calze, i completed cloud's time attack in ten minutes. that was sorta hard....ish. blocking was a must know or it's impossible to get under ten minutes.
