Just as the name suggests, the Masatsugan is a rare ability created by the eye. When active, the iris of both eyes turns golden while the rest of the eyes turn pitch black. The power of the Masatsugan relies on the ability of accurately identifying the inner structure of an object or living being as well as understanding how the small elements that compose the being are bound together. Everything in this world without exception has its flaws, be it a stone, animal or human being. Because things are imperfect, there are always places in their structure where the bonding is considerably weaker than anywhere else. The Masatsugan is able to identify these “weak points” in the structure of things as black cracks spreading throughout the body of a living being or object.
If these lines are cut with a sharp object (such as with a knife) it would mean that the weak powers that keep the structure together would be destroyed, thus severely damaging an object or living being. Depending on which line its cut, the broken line might result in the breaking of a ligament, bone or even death.
What’s strange about this power is the fact that only Sam is able to interact with these lines. Even if he were to point them out to someone else, that person wouldn’t be able to cut these lines and therefore will fail to cause the kind of damage that’s caused when using the Eyes of the Demon Killer.
This technique has several different levels and once someone acquires a stronger level of the ability, he is unable to use the weaker one. The only exception is the last level of the ability, which the user is able to activate whenever he likes (taking into account the restrictions written):

This is the greatest downside of the Masatsugan because in order to see something, the user‘s mind first has to be able to comprehend and visualize it. (This means that the kind of damage that can be dealt consists only of painful wounds that are difficult to heal.) Each time the technique is used there’s a 5% chance of the blood vessels from exploding, killing the user or just causing the death of the brain (meaning that the user will enter into a vegetative state). The Doujutsu can safely be used for 10 posts, after which the headache will increase and the risk of the brain blood vessels from exploding will rise by 10% each additional post the technique is used.

Effect: The insight given by the Masatsugan reaches now it’s peak as the user is now able to not only detect the “weak points” on both animate and inanimate objects, but it’s also able to detect the weakest point of the being: the point of death, which, if pierced, will cause the immediate death of the living being (or the complete destruction of the object. The point of death is visualized as a small black circle with a diameter of about 1 inch and is usually found somewhere in the chest or head area.
Drawback: Because the human mind was not made to neither detect nor understand the death of a being or object, the use of the doujutsu greatly strains the brain of the user, greatly forcing the brain blood vessels’ blood flow capacity. The risk of these blood vessels of bursting and causing the death of the user or, if (un)lucky, only the death of the brain (it means the user will go into a vegetative state) is of 10% and each additional turn that the technique is used the risk is increased by 10%. The use of the technique is accompanied by incredibly strong headaches which might make the user faint anytime. Because of these head-splitting headaches the user will not be able to think clearly and all movement will require much stamina to be performed. The user won’t be able to use the Sesshou Masatsugan anymore that day.
[FONT="]o[/FONT]Technique used for 5 turns: There’s a 50% chance of the user’s brain blood vessels from bursting, thus causing the death of the user or the death of the brain. The user will faint at the end of the fifth turn because of the incredible headaches and will remain in a coma for at least 3-4 days.

Sam possesses quick reflexes and high agility due to all the training he’s been through. He is able to move very fast for a couple of seconds, seemingly disappearing for a brief amount of time. This ability is usually used for quickly closing the gap between him and his enemy, usually giving him a preemptive strike. These speed bursts are not meant for running long distances since they consume a large amount of stamina.
Close-quarter-combat and knife-proficiency
Due to the extensive training he’s been under, Sam has been taught all there is to know about knives and using his body as a weapon to quickly and efficiently taking down his opponents.

Personality: Sam is an apparent cold-hearted person that possesses a calculating mind. These attributes alone as well as his cool-headed temper allows him to make the most difficult of decisions with ease. The teen has been raised for one single objective: to complete the mission and he is willing to do everything in his power to fulfill it. This makes him the most perfect and dangerous assassin, since he doesn’t bring out morals during his missions.
Sam is a lone wolf, preferring to avoid establishing any kind of relationship with any other person, saying it’d only make his work more difficult. That’s the excuse he makes to avoid other people into finding out about his true self. He is afraid of establishing relationships with people because Sam is afraid of himself and of his powers and fears he might kill those that are near him. He hates the idea of losing someone close to him; he had to go through that once and doesn’t want that to happen again. So, in order to protect his scarred hart, he made the decision of living as a lone wolf, staying a hermit to avoid hurting those that he holds dear.
Appearance: Sam is around 5’ 6’’ tall and has a slim and relatively light body, weighting around 135 pounds. His black hair is short and well-kept, letting only a few strands of hair cover the front of his forehead. His eyes are silver, greatly strengthening that unwelcoming aspect of his.
Sam wears a black cotton muscle shirt, a pair of black, kind of baggy pants (imagine the ones wore by SOLDIER) that gives him enough mobility, a pair of black boots as well as two fingerless black gloves that protects his hands from his weapons and allows him to deal more damage when attacking with his hands.
Weapons: Sam’s weapons consist of dual combat knives with a reinforced blade, making them more durable and sharp. The shape of these knives has been customized to fit Sam’s fighting style perfectly: They’re a mix between a knife and brass knuckles, which allows Sam to switch between punching techniques and knife techniques.
He stores them on two holders behind his back, just a little above his waist. He also uses a katana with a reinforced blade which he also stores in the sheath that extends across his back and is so positioned, that the protruding hilt of the sword has to be grabbed with the right hand.
Bio: Zack was born in a small village hidden somewhere in the forest that belonged to a group of skilled assassins known as The Specters, whose main task was to fight against the supernaturals that kept on spawning everywhere across the world. Unknown to the world, The Specters trained each day of their lives in the way of slaying the opponent in a quick, silent manner…all the while keeping their presence hidden. These families married each other, and rarely accepted outsiders into their stronghold, in order to prevent their secrets from being stolen as well as to give birth to the best assassins ever known to have lived. Their fighting style was said to have originated from the Japanese ninja and this was the main reason why this organization received its current name: they have to be ghosts, just like their predecessors.
As soon as the boy was able to stand, Sam began the training in the fighting arts, learning how to take down an opponent quickly and easily. The training focused mostly in increasing agility, strength and the human senses, taking them to a level that couldn’t be compared to that of normal humans. It was said that the reason The Specters were so powerful was because they had mixed their blood with that of the beings they were trying to kill, and that gave them incredible abilities.
As the years passed and as the boy grew older it was discovered that he was one of the few that had inherited a special known as the Masatsugan, or Eyes of the Demon Killer. The ability seemed to go back more than two hundred years ago, when several members of the Specters had received the blood of a supernatural being during a forbidden ritual. Most of them were killed by the blood, but the few who survived gained the ability to see things normal people couldn’t. That ability was later called Masatsugan, because the power itself was frightening and because the eyes of the user turned golden, just like the ones of the demon that had been slaughtered. But the ones with this ability had to bear a great burden since they also inherited the blood lust from the supernaturals and had to spend the rest of their lives fighting the urge to kill.
The demon blood that ran through Sam’s veins was strong and, when he turned 16 in 2012 he completely lost control and used the Masatsugan to kill most of his fellow comrades. Just so everyone knows there is a history between me and Filden and me and FAith, this had of course been discussed between us all

Interesting to say the least. I'm liking it already, although I'm afraid to say that I'm going to continue with the mild form of amnesia for a quite a while. It puts Faith in an interesting position, having to witness them on such strange terms with each other. Filden and Rene speaking of, I mean.
