I voted for #1.

It stood out to me more.

I love the colours and how his eye is the only coloured part of him, which also matches the colour scheme of the background.

The border looks cool too. I quite like how it doesn't go all the way around.

The angle of the text in the background looks good and I like how it ventures onto the border too. =)
 
I'm voting for number two. I just find it more eye catching and appealing. The colours are nice and soft and they work really well together and the lightning provides contrast from the rest of the avatar without dominating it.

Number one, is good but I'm not a fan of the grey and blue scheme and I don't like the way Roxas overlaps the border. I would've liked to have seen him more confined but that's just me.
 
Number 1 is so amazing. Love the R spelt with Roxas and the XIII in the background. Nice colours and image used. Fantastic.
