#4's the only one that's had anything done to it, or anything other than a bit of lighting or blending options, so it was an obvious winner.

#1.) it looks nice, but i say the text is a bit random, but the lighting is suburb.

#2.) Lighting is nice, and well done, but the actual stock/render is a bit too small :\

#3.) Now this one i really like, the unique look it has is really well done, and quite unique, the black outline is nicely put, and the purple bg makes it even better

#4.) hmm, well this one surely has a good concept, but the lighting to me is a bit much, and the colors are too bright =\, not the best of the four

My vote goes to #3

I'm voting for number 1. I think it stands out the most. I really like the background and I think the lighting in the bottom left corner looks really good too.

Tis a simple image and the effects done to it set fine for an avatar I'd say. Though the lighting come from the upper left corner kinda bothers me, perhaps it was better off without it. Other than thatI like it. =) Very simple and well done job.

Same as above really, #2 for me.
I think the lighting comes off extremely well and overall it's a nice and simple, yet effective avatar. If I was going to CnC it, I'd have just made a not on the size as the overall focal image seems quite small, I think it might have worked slightly better if it was just focusing on the upper half (like #1) so that it has a larger focal, either way it's still fantastic.
