Which character theme did you like more?? which did you think was more memorable?? Personally i thought Aeris' theme was more powerful and emotional and remembaral (sp) than Tifas.
 
Since I really can't decide between Aeris's Theme and Tifa's Theme, I prefer "Water", because it blends both themes together and makes it sound pretty.
 
I definitely think Aeris' theme was more memorable. It is the one that has been permanently stuck in my head ever since I played VII. I guess it just evoked more an emotional response for me than Tifa's theme...
 
I'm with Garnet on this. When we found out the truth about Aerith, when Aerith was stabbed and she died her theme was playing. I just feel that this theme was more memorable really than any other theme in the entire game. I have more emotional attatchment to this song and is one of my favorites to play on the piano as well :)
 
I think you have to pick Aeris' theme. Just a well written piece in general, even outside the game.
 
Tifa's theme because it's more of Cloud and Tifa together...?
 
Tifa's theme is great on it's own though too. After all, it was used in themes like "Eyes on Me", "Anxious Heart" and of course, "Water". The theme on it's own might not be as popular as Aeris's, but it still is used in several other popular themes and deserves SOME praise.

I'm bad at identifying music but I never really heard their themes play together... maybe it's just a coincidence and they sound the same (I can definetely hear the Tifa part but maybe it's more of a similarity than anything and not neccessarily all-out intentional by Uematsu).

I guess I'm in the minority in saying that I like Tifa's theme better. For me, it also has to do with the fact that I prefer Tifa's character to Aeris's, so I guess that allows me to connect more with the music on an emotional level. That's very important to me with music.

To tell you the truth, I don't know, I acknowledge Aeris's theme as a beautiful peice of music, Nobuo Uematsu even said it was his favorite. ^_^ But I just never felt it... it's the one song on the AC OST that I skip because it bores me. If we're speaking in musical terms, however, Aeris's theme seems harder to and more complicated to play on the piano. Still, I like Tifa's theme better. It has a... nostalgic and romantic feel to it which reminds me of the character I love and her childhood with a certain someone. =P

All in all Aeris's remains a huge fan favorite though. Oh well, Tifa's FTW!!!

I had to go download Tifa's theme to make sure I was remembering it right too....of course I didn't have to do that with Aeris's. Tifa's is beautiful and I love it too, but I'm still sticking with Aeris's.

I do agree with what somebody else said, "Water" is a very very nice mixture of both...
 
FF7 didn't do Tifa's theme any justice. It sounds SO much better in the piano version. But Aerith's is probably more apt seeing as it is more of a lament than a theme
 
I gotta say Aeris' theme, it's the start of the song that's best(at least that's what I think) But Tifas theme is great too though. For some reason I kinda imagine a kid going to school for the first time, got no idea why xP
 
They both make me feel bad and make me feel shitty and bring up bad memories. So I choose I can't decide..... I can't decide which one makes me feel shittier....
 
Aerith's theme is more popular and had more of an impact... (I mean how much more of an impact can you have with a character dieing?) But I like Tifa's theme more because I am more of a Tifa fan than an Aerith fan. I wasn't all that sad when she died. I know, it's terrible, but I wasn't. :S
 
I can never remember Tifa's, so Aeris ftw. That song makes me so shad ;_;
 
Definitely Aeris' Theme because of its dramatic melody. It's an extremely emotional piece and I just love it. Tifa's Theme was good as well, but it doesn't outshine Aeris'.
 
Gotta go with Aeris, and not because of my bias. I honestly thought Tifa's theme was boring and I wish they did a better job with it. But then again, most of the main character's theme's in VII are kind of dull. The only ones that I really like are Aeris's, Cait Sith's, and Cid's.
