First up actress, model and former WWE wrestler Shelly Martinez.

Summary: Shelly suffered a back injury and was prescribed painkillers to deal with the pain and discomfort.

She asked her doctor what to do when two pills a day wasn't enough & her doctor told her to just keep upping the dosage.

Eventually, she overdosed and was pronounced dead on arrival in the emergency ward of a hospital.

Luckily for her, she regained consciousness and managed to make a full recovery.

But, it is interesting to note that doctors in america are corrupt and immoral enough to give advice that leads to people becoming addicted to painkillers and eventually dying under some circumstances. And that this isn't necessarily an isolated story.

Anyway, Yeul Kreiss asked why I have a distrust and dislike of doctors and US healthcare in general.

Maybe, I'll continue to post other reasons why I personally believe the healthcare system to be somewhat flawed & doctors unreliable in the future.

I also find it hilarious that this Shelly Martinez woman advocated the use of smoking cannabis and how it helped wean her off of prescription pills. Omgz we should legalize mari-joo-wanna. But in all seriousness, it's not really a matter of opinion that America's healthcare system is pretty much smeared feces, ya know, absolute shit. Granted, there are other countries that have equally flawed healthcare systems. However when you live in a country where it's hard for people to procure health insurance, get good coverage, and afford health insurance, then I'd say that's pretty damn bad, compared to the rest of the world. I personally agreed with the nationalization of healthcare, I could see how it would be rather nice. We could do it up like France and have the program be funded by privatized companies but unfortunately our government is run by stingy, stuffy, old guys that are only concerned with lining their already fat pockets with money. Interesting issue but it isn't really opinion-based, at this point, when one takes a look at the historical conceptualization of our system and how it's currently fucked up -- it's pretty much a fact: Our healthcare system sucks, we should like change it. Will that change occur? Probably not, because our populace tends to get so absolutely divisive about these issues and the government is so finicky and touchy about shit that we hardly have these modifications to our system pass. The government always makes up some lame ass excuse or something that they pull out of their arses. Fucking politicians.
