I made a new Cloud x Aerith Club on a Bleach Forum I basically copy and pasted this club over there, hope that's cool?; just to let everyone know especially you @c a l i l i l y

Anyway; I will answer more Questions here next time around but for now I will share fanarts! I am in such a shippy mood today

What nick name do you think Cloud would give Aerith?


Okay, okay. This might sounds crazy but lemme explain.

I think he'd call her flower girl a lot. kinda like a play on how Aerith always calls him "bodyguard" from time to time. Or, I can see Cloud slipping and calling her.........................................baby. I know! It's so OOC. but I think if he and Aerith were like having a lover's spat he'd use that word to try and make her forgive him of whatever thing he did wrong. Or rather, if he was in... the mood kinky and was trying to woo her. Plus, Cloud's still a cocky guy, so I think he'd use it rarely but nonetheless, still say it to her.

That's such a cute answer; who says Cloud wouldn't call Aerith "babe" or "baby"; he's that cokcy sorta guy around Aerith but yet he isn't whose to say what he'd do -- he IS a jack of all trades anyway! And: "Flower Girl"! That's even cuter and definitely think Cloud would use this one -- its so in character! I luv it!

That's such a cute answer; who says Cloud wouldn't call Aerith "babe" or "baby"; he's that cokcy sorta guy around Aerith but yet he isn't whose to say what he'd do -- he IS a jack of all trades anyway! I think it's done for a reason. Just like showing Squall waiting is. It's definitely a parallel.

Even if the letter wasn't from Rinoa. I think it's pretty sweet that Aerith knew exactly where the last place Cloud was. It shows how deep their bond is with each other. And most importantly, like what she did in KHI... it shows Aerith is there waiting for Cloud to return. That devotion between them is one of the most beautiful things between them.

I think it's done for a reason. Just like showing Squall waiting is. It's definitely a parallel.

Who else could it be though honestly? I mean wings? Sure they are butterfly wings for some weird reason but wings are wings I can't possibly think of who else wings/feathers are symbolized with. But even if its not your right; Aerith is still shown there for Cloud <3

I love CloudxAerith because I feel like the relationship was short, but it was so multidimensional, as well. They start as complete strangers and are immediately drawn to each other, even planning a date from the get go. They support each other, both in combat, and when the other is in a bind. Cloud was there with Aerith in Gongaga when she learned of Zack's death, Cloud was with Aerith when she was leaving her home to face the unknown, Cloud was with Aerith the moment she died and cradled her in his arms and gave her back to the Planet, Aerith was there for Cloud all the times he was unsure of himself and scared, Aerith was there to be Cloud's light, pulling him from the darkness, Aerith helped Cloud to defeat Sephiroth and held a very important materia that would decide life or death for the inhabitants of Gaia. They support each other so much, and I love that. Aerith's support for Cloud helped him to grow as a person. At first very quiet and serious, he becomes more loose, and never says an ill word to Aerith, and changes his personality from the moment they encounter for real at her church. They grew together, which I really say is love. Love is about learning to love yourself, and learning things about yourself with your lover, and I think Cloud and Aerith really are a perfect example of that.

Oh my gawsh, that was beautiful and I absolutely could not add a single more perfect thing to it. I love how you explained Cloud and Aerith being there for each other because its so true -- Tifa wouldn't have even been able to enter Clouds mind without Aerith. And I am glad I was not the only one to otice Cloud suddenly becoming looser and sweeter upon meeting Aerith; I mean he went from "Screw the world" to "Save the world Aerith loved" after only "weeks" of knowing the girl.

And its absolutely true Aerith and Cloud were drawn to each other immediately both by physical appearance and destiny. "Planning a date from the get-go" explains it quite well too

Aerith does have that effect on him, to influence a better Cloud, he even laughed with her not many people can say they have done that with him, not even the Dissidia crew!

Yes!! I noticed this as well. In a matter of fact, it was one of the reasons why I started to see Cloud's love for Aerith. I was like "whut? why is this bad boy, who just five minutes ago didn't give a hoot for the planet, now suddenly throwing himself into the fight to save said planet now that he met this flower girl?"

That to me was just a home run on Cloud's feelings for Aerith.

Aerith does have that effect on him, to influence a better Cloud, he even laughed with her not many people can say they have done that with him, not even the Dissidia crew!

Oh, yush!! Great point. That "rare smile" Aerith wins outta Cloud is just so romantic... the first time we see him happy at all in the game and it's with Aerith--pretty dang significant if you ask me.


Also, on some other debate thread at some other FF forum. A Cloti tried to say that optional or not, Cloud is never stated to have romantic feelings for Aerith. Well, I think these quotes prove that claim wrong.

Page120:
Omega Page 151, the marked tidbit explaining CS's last fortune telling.

The last fortune telling from Cat Sith No. 1.
After solving the puzzle about Cat Sith's replaceable body, he tells one last fortune of Cloud and Aerith's affinity.

The result of it turns out "Aerith-san's star and Cloud-san's star! They promise a great future!" After that, it will become a sad prediction if we get to know what would happen afterward. But if we can catch the meaning of the "future" from another angle, we can see hope.....perhaps.

Now, I'm not sure about anyone else, but you can't have an "affinity" or "wedding prediction" between two people unless there's an obvious romantic bond between the two people. Even if a Cloti were to deem this optional, it still counts.

and the fact that their date is featured on this page proves it to be romantic between Cloud and Aerith--since as we know, Clotis just love to say how the page is about romance.

And this next quote proves Cloud has an option of harboring romantic feelings for both girls if the player chooses.

Kitase: When I first read Nojima’s scenario, I felt strongly that his image of a heroine was fresh. The hero didn’t have a typical personality, single-minded or righteous, and Aerith lived in the slums. Those things were really fresh. And having two heroines, Aerith and Tifa, and having the hero waver between them, at the time that was something new. ~Interview with the creators, pg. 8-13, 10th Anniversary Ultimania

You can't waver between two people romantically if you didn't carry romantic feelings for them. ( Now, all of these optional scenes are allowed in this question because the original poster who said all of this is the one that says even if the HAHW scene is optional it's still significant that romance is shared in any of the scenes. )

And on an end note:

the optional/default "promised date" between Cloud and Aerith takes place in the city of desire in which their date ends magically. Make of it what you will, but I know it's romantic since it's on that romantic page in the 20thAU--the same page Clotis claim proves Cloti canon.

And I think it's pretty significant that Cloud and Aerith are said to be "A love..." in all three commercials.

In this story, Cloud also carries his undying feeling for Aerith even to this very day... It's relations with this church scene is... Yup. I'll leave this part to your imagination. (Laughs)"

Cloud was/is the woman's friend, (koibito)---he is a symbol for something important, an existence that she must protect.
Going by Clotis translations of koibito, this sentence just called Cloud Aerith's lover.

So, yes... there are quotes saying Cloud has romantic feelings for Aerith, both in optional scenes and not optional scenes.

I don't think that his mom, because its not in the Manga; and the manga allows more interactivity between story and characters and what kinda Parent lets their kid be gone for so long and how does Sora NOT know about school if he has parents Maybe that's just mindless dreaming though.

Well, its really good, although the Cloud and Aerith ending isn't in it, but Cloud is still searching for his light, Aerith and still has the CXA symbolic talk with Sora about looking for "their girl". Although its cut kinda short, we've yet to get the next moment they had in KHII drawn in the Manga, but its definitely gonna be in there too x3

Yepp, in KHI Cid reunites the two of them (Cloud and Aerith) with each other (it scrolls down with all the Disney Couples in the credits), and then they are still with each other in KHII, only for Cloud to zoom off again and fight Sephiroth though, darn him But he promises to come back to her, so sweetly!

Yes. I'm watching a debate on another crappy forum and there's 7 Clotis and, like, two or three clouriths. Well, anyway, they're using Tifa's koibito line to prove she's Cloud's lover but then the clouriths brought up: Aerith's koibito line and they're saying koibito is supposed to be beloved.

And lets forget that Nomura said he has no clue if Cloud and Tifa were ever together romantically, and he specifically brought them up...why?

Because duh, they're married and have lots and lots of babies.

Honestly, in my opinion, Nomura used Cloud and Tifa because he can't fathom the idea of them being together.

In the High affection Highwind scene. There's quotes Clotis take to mean Cloud and Tifa have romantic feelings for each other. Some quote that they twist though. Kaleta wrote a counter argument for it a while ago and it was amazing.

Yes, they do say it's not romantic. I had a tard tell me that if Cloud and Aerith's date was canon it's the saddest date ever. Right, because ending magically is so sad.

I love how sweet Cloud is when he tells her he'll come back. it is so freaking cuute!!

This just brought something to my attention.

In CoT, Cloud leaves Tifa without telling her or saying a word to her about whether or not he'll ever come back... But when Cloud has to leave Aerith in KH, he tells her what he's doing and promises to come back. Does anyone else find this as significant as I do?

Yeah, I noticed that too; but there's bundles and bundled of excuses that will be made for why Cloud did so and so for Aerith and left others in the cold.

I mean; Tifa's says "I'm all alone" Cloud says "Yeah", Aerith does this same thing however and its "But I'm...we're here for you."? Does that make any sense to people?
And what about when Tifa asks if she and the kids are enough for him and he ignores her? I have to say I feel bad for Tifa but damn, how can it not be clear enough Clouds "Not interested"?

Dear lord, the "perfectly normal world" bit really says how C/T could never work. I mean you're right. When Nojima said even without geostigma and sephiroth that'd mean Cloud and Tifa would be in a normal world, as you put it, and they still wouldn't work out.

This "mutual" understanding that takes place in the HAHW scene is what C/t shippers believe to be Cloud mutually feeling what Tifa feels (which is love on her part)--they say for Tifa and Cloud to mutually agree with one another that must mean Cloud returns Tifa's feelings in the HAHWS. They try and prove this claim by using the 20thAU page about love, because a screen of Cloud and Tifa are on the page (as is Cloud and Aerith's date). I guess they just blatantly ignore the question of... why does it have to be Tifa's feelings to be mutual amongst them? and that it could very well be Tifa accepting that Cloud only carries platonic feelings for her.

But, you know... they will never see outside of that box.

I mean; Tifa's says "I'm all alone" Cloud says "Yeah", Aerith does this same thing however and its "But I'm...we're here for you."? Does that make any sense to people?

You know what you just brought to my attention... Aerith and Tifa share a lot of parallels in situations.

- When Tifa needed Cloud's help, he told her no. She brought up the promise to guilt trip him and then promised him 2000G and he finally stayed.

- When Aerith needed help, Cloud said yes with a fast-paste nod to go with it. (eager much, Cloudy boy? ) and since some C/T fans say Cloud never accepted the date that means Cloud became her bodyguard for nothing. Ouch for Tifa.

- When Tifa said she was alone, Cloud agreed with her.

- When Aerith said she was alone, Cloud told her he was there for her.

- When Tifa tried to get Cloud to accept her childish dream-promise of him being her knight in shining armor, she had to strong arm him into it.

- When Aerith needed Cloud to be her bodyguard, Cloud jumped to it quicker than a stripe on a zebra.

- When Cloud was leaving Seventh Heaven in CoT, he said not one word to Tifa about where he was going, what he was doing, or when and if he was ever planing on coming back.

- When Cloud was leaving Radiant Garden in KHII, Cloud told Aerith what he was doing and that he would come back to her.

- When Tifa was almost dead, Cloud thought she was a goner and still decided to go off to fight Sephiroth, obviously that was more important than staying by her side or getting her to safety.

- When Aerith was dying, Cloud cradled her in his arms crying in disbelief that she could be gone while his heart broke, and on top of that, he screamed to the whole world/and his friends that he didn't care about Sephiroth's plan to kill the planet and everyone on it now that Aerith was gone.

- Tifa gets kidnapped by Don, Cloud's first reaction is to make sure Aerith is safe.

- When Aerith is kidnapped by Shinra, Cloud out right ignores Barret and Tifa in their time of despair and walks off concerned solely about Aerith's safety.


People should really look at both of the girls' situations and see how differently and how romantically Cloud acts towards Aerith.

And what about when Tifa asks if she and the kids are enough for him and he ignores her? I have to say I feel bad for Tifa but damn, how can it not be clear enough Clouds "Not interested"?

I know. The moment Cloud said to Tifa "I want to drink alone" was when she should have realized how unattached he was to her and how uninterested he was with her romantically.

And if that doesn't hit it home, then what about how Tifa has brought up how she feels to Cloud more than once... and they're still not together?

Yeah, Cloud's not interested.
