Yeah. I mean when he found Tifa he just put her to the side and went after Seph talk about a high standard of professionalism. But he cried like a baby when Aeris died. I guess we won't know for sure of his reaction to Tifa's death, but the death scene is the final nail in the coffin for me.

Actually, in Dissidia, Tifa supposedly dies and in the second game, Cloud doesn't even mention her... like at all. pretty weird, imo.

You know what to make of it. But cuz you're my friend I'll say this... fans of the opposite side say it doesn't matter because... well, they say it's not "canon". That SE didn't "okay" this... but they did... three times no less. Still, people write it off as nothing.

There's commercials for 8, 9, and 10 that show their canon couples in the same situation.

You'd think... but they say it's false advertisement therefor making information within it not canon or meaningless. When I first heard of the commercial I was like "whoohoo! Clourith is canon!" but then I was told all the arguments of it not being "official" or "canon" or "reliable" and I was like, you know what--whatever.

Well, is Squall and Rinoa canon? Is Zidane and Garnet canon? Is Tidus and Yuna canon? The answer to all those is yes... and like all those couples Cloud and Aerith are said to be in love or shown as the love interest of the game in their commercials... so in my personal opinion... I say yes, they are canon. But I'm against the whole, brainwash you with one-sided evidence like what others do, so I'll just provide both sides to the argument and let you make your own conclusion.

Clerith argument: It shows Cloud and Aerith with the word "love" hovering above them. It says they are a love that could never be. Like 8, 9, and 10's commercials the couple is shown in them, which is the canon couple. There's three different commercials saying the same thing for France, Europe, and NA. Why would VII's commercial be the only one to show false information?

Cloti defense: the commercial is false advertisement. The commercial isn't "okayed" by Square Enix. Therefor, it means nothing. Literally, they're argument over this is solely that it's false advertisement.

I have watched the commercial of FF VII (along with other commercial of FF VIII, IX, X). And I must say the commercial of FF VII is the real official one; just like the others (even SE has allow FF VII commercial is true). But still, Cloti fans never accepted that. They always bring out some reasons like: "That's commercial is too old to be sure", "So what? That just the past.", "In FFVII:AC Cloud has moved in to live with Tifa. So that commercial is nothing more than a garbage",...

I didn't care much about Cloti things; but from time to time there are some reckless fans of Cloti jumped in every Clerith's clubs just to harass and humiliate the fans and Clerith love. They did everything they could (even bring out a fake evidence) to constrain Clerith fans change to Clotis fans. That has buged me a lot and I was like, you ill-bred Cloti fans never know where your limitary positions are.

Did SE really say FF VII commercial is false advertisement?
Wow, I didn't see that coming... Because that thing is never real!

Well Squaresoft would've obviously okayed the commercial seeing as they would've paid to have it advertised.. surely? You don't shell out lots of cash to push an idea you don't mean. Maybe they mean it's exagerrated?

Well anyway I only really care about the original game not who said what when and how. When I played it I always thought those two were a couple till she died so...meh.
