Lets stop the Tifa bashing, I like Tifa and I don't like seeing her bashed -- so lets please drop it, Tifa isn't a hooker and there was never a reason to think she was. Not only this but I'd hate to see this club be reported over this, because this is a Cloud x Aerith Club not a "Why Cloud/Tifa doesn't this or that about Tifa/Barret" its off topic/ its rude/ and its spam.

Anyway; I was replaying FFVIII and a few other FF's too but something about VIII struck me, Raine (Laguna's wife) bears a striking similarity to Aerith -- she loves flowers and sold them too [*cough*long brown hair*cough*], I also noticed that Rinoa is a lot like Aerith too -- I recall when Aerith pushed the man down the stairs and apologized (She's so sweet!) Rinoa does basically the same thing only she leaves a Galbadian soldier behind on a train and apologizes for it afterwards < just some cute things I saw.

But beside that; I recall Nomura saying when Cloud and Aerith go to the Sector 6 park that it was a date for them -- and when Squall introduces the Garden to Rinoa she calls it a date :cali:

I feel like that was kind of a parallel.

I mean, when you first play, you meet a man, a woman, and a kid. The kid looks like the woman, and the kid calls the man "Daddy!" so wouldn't you think they are together/romantically involved especially since they are living together? My first play through I had totally thought that until a bit later on. I mean come on, they do make a cute couple :tehe:

But anyways yeah, if you say Tifa and Cloud are romantically involved because they live together raising a family, then that means Barret and Tifa are too ;))

I'll never hear Aerith's innocent laugh ever again." if I remember right, Squall says about(to) Rinoa "I want to hear your voice" ... to me, that sounds REALLY close to what Cloud says (only, what Squall says is less romantic than Cloud's IMO). I think this just proves what I was saying in the LTD thread, that these comments that Cloud made towards and about Aerith ARE romantic.

Yes, actually. My thoughts were exactly what yours were. I thought they were married, to be honest. and I agree, they make a cute couple. :ari:

But... I like Cid and Tifa... I know, it's strange, but they're both rough and the same hot headedness.

Yep, yep, yep! Couldn't agree more! PLUS! it was Marlene that adopted Cloud into Barret, Tifa and her family-- that makes Cloud just a child in Barret and Tifa's family, making Barret AND Tifa the "parents" not Cloud and Tifa.

If anything, Cloud is more like a brother to Marlene.

That said, I think despite Tifa "adopting" Denzel I still believe that Cloud feels Denzel is more of a him and Aerith-child. After all, when he first found Denzel he said to Tifa that he felt as if Aerith brought Denzel to him... not to mention, Cloud was going to bring Denzel back EVEN IF Tifa said not to... to me, this makes it very clear that Cloud considers Denzel apart of his and Aerith's bond--a family, in a way.

And just to throw it out there, I think it is NO coincidence that Denzel's parents were brown and blonde haired with green and blue eyes--with lilies in one of the pictures no less-- Denzel, as we know has brown hair and blue eyes... gee, wonder who THAT looks like. :britt:

Thanks! I love finding those sweet and obvious parralels in Final Fantasy; they always make it so clear who the love interest is intended to be whether its guys liking their eyes/voice/laugh or anything like that, its so sweet :3

The idea of “taking the stairs for 59 floors because the guards there are scarce” is a big mistake!
Maybe it’s easier if we just raid on the building and smash the enemy right in front….

Anyway, after we reached the 60th floor, the guard security seemed to get loose. They had never expected that we’d be able to break through and came here…those carefree fools.
There’re some staffs murmured cuz I don’t look like any one of them. But little doubts didn’t make them cry for alert.
Here we met the mayor of Midgar for the first time, and the feeling was still bad.
Seriously, he’s just a dummy administrator who takes care of all sorts of data.
He was very discontent with Shinra, so we got the cardkey without much effort.
That’s why I can take a break in this rest room…..

It's kinda adorable that Barret it used to asking/receiving massages from Tifa :lew:

Barret and Tifa now makes more sense than Tifa with any other guy! Well... except for Johnny x Tifa, because Tifa made Cloud leave just so she can "talk" with Johnny about their past and all the fun times they had. :awesome:

I couldn't agree more! Ever since the beginning of the game, it's always been Barret and Tifa caring for Marlene and raising her as their own and like you said Marlene (Barret and Tifa's child that they take care of) adopted Cloud into the family. If Barret's child adopted Cloud into his and Tifa's family that means Cloud is like a child to Barret and Tifa. Very honestly, it makes sense, too. After all, Tifa views Cloud as a child and she has a motherly bond to him.

But like you said, Marlene pointing out that Cloud and Tifa weren't getting along seriously disproves that they were in "love" and "raising Marlene all gleefully".

Cloud treats Marlene like a brother would treat his baby sister, Tifa treats Cloud as if he's a son--plain and simple. :/

Well, honestly I think Cloud feels that Denzel is his and Aerith's child--mainly because Cloud confesses that he believed it was Aerith that brought Denzel to him. TO ME, that is extremely romantic and shows me that Cloud does view Denzel as his and Aerith's family/bond.

Couldn't have said it better. Cloud and Aerith even LOOK more like Denzel's biological parents. Blue eyes for Cloud and brown hair for Aerith. Not to mention, the same kind of genetic similarities between his REAL bio parents and Cloud/Aerith. There's even a lily in the family picture that Denzel and his real parents too--Nomura said Aerith is associated to flowers so I do not think that is a coincidence.

You know, I've always felt that way, too. But eh, it's hard to really get behind the idea. :hmmm:

She def tries to look like Aerith, which is motherly--but it could also be sisterly as well. She probably knows how important she was to Cloud and how much she sacrificed for the world, so she respects Aerith for it. & I've always seen Cloud and Marlene as siblings more so than anything, so she probably loves Aerith the way a little sister would love their big brother's GF.

guys i just watched the ending to kh again (for the millionth time) and seeing cloud walk up to aerith always makes me wanna cry. like i dont think anyone truly understands the importance of that scene. throughout the series all cloud’s ever wanted was to just find her & be with her. does anyone realize that in that moment the very thing cloud was fighting for most & the very thing he was willing to work with the devil for, was finally his. after so many years, she is his and he is hers

Thanks! What do I like the most about this couple? Wow, tough one! I love all the reasons why they should be together. But my favorite is how they want to protect each other no matter what, and my favorite moment so far is when the gang rest around the fire ( in the Cosmo Canyon ), and Aerith says how she feels so sad and helpless, and Cloud says "But I'm... We're here for you, right?" and she thanks him for all

Even though in my first playthrough I chose the CloTi options until I met Aerith and interactionated with her a little ( I thought they made a good couple, as I didn't really know anything about Aerith and saw some CloTi fanfictions ) this scene remained the same. This should mean something from the autors.
