Welcome to the Club to one of the great books and great show, ever created. Yes, I just boldly said that xD

Here you can talk about Tyrion, Dany and Arya...oh, and the other excellent characters of the brilliantly told story by George R.R Martin, a bloody fantastic author!

Story:
Seven noble families fight for control of the mythical land of Westeros. Political and sexual intrigue abound. The primary families are the Stark, Lannister, and Baratheon families. Robert Baratheon, King of Westeros, asks his old friend Eddard Stark to serve as his chief advisor. Eddard, suspecting that his predecessor had been murdered, accepts so that he can investigate further. It turns out more than one family is plotting to take the throne. The Queen's family, the Lannisters, may be hatching a plot to take control. Across the sea, the last surviving members of the previously deposed ruling family, the Targaryens, are also plotting a return to power. The conflict between these families and others, including the Greyjoys, the Tullys, the Arryns, and the Tyrells, leads to war. Meanwhile, in the north, an ancient evil awakens. Amidst war and the political confusion, a brotherhood of misfits, The Night's Watch, is all that stands between the realms of men and the horrors beyond.

Edit: Oops, I didn't post too fast and take one of your reserved spots did I?? Sorry if I did ;___; (shows how keen I am to join though haha)

Sign me up damn it (please :britt:) :rage: I freaking love this show!!

Tyrion Lannister and Arya Stark and Khal Drogo are my favourite Characters and I have a tiny crush on that young dude in the blacksmiths :britt:

Also half way through the first book!

I'll add you now! *That was fast xD*

I friggin' love the show. And the book, its just so awesome. Tyrion, Arya, Dany, Ned, Brann, Jon -- all friggin' awesome.

You like Drogo? :33

When I first started to watch and saw him with Dany, I said "She's going to fall for him". I haven't finished the books, but I have a feeling she will or has, fallen for the Dothraki King, or as she calls him "her sun-and-stars" xD

Yeah I do really like Khal, I am not sure why though :S Dany is really cute too though!

I think it's because in the book Khal is so much different to the movie Khal. He is kinder and he cares for Dany on their 'wedding night' where as in the TV show they make it out like he rapes her or something.

I find Dany and Khal to be a really cute couple because they are so different!

You didn't take a spot away :P

Dany is adorable, especially in the books. Kinda freaky her brother sold her at 14...

Yea, he is a lot tender in the books, but today's episode was great. It showed how much he loved, respected and needed her. When he carried her around the room, I was "AWWW! Ohmygoshsocute!"

Stupid HBOGO doesn't have my provider, so I can't watch Epi7 ahead of time... :(

Oh yea, updated the link section! :33

Ok So I finally watched Episode 6, I haven't seen 7 yet because HBO GO wont work for Australians :sad3:

I was a little disturbed seeing Dany eating a heart hahaha what a random way to start the show but I loved how it showed how serious she took her new position as queen! Drogo was so proud of her :jess: and I loved how he got rid of her brother at the end! Very Original. I will miss him though, he was an asshole but he played it well!

I am so excited for episode 7 :rage: I want it now!

*you should probably spoil your post for others :)*

I agree.

Have you read to that point in the books?

I loved the fierceness she showed with eating the whole heart and naming her boy Rhaego, it was full of courage, strength and the power of self-will or whatever. When Drogo made the "I respect you woman" face, I knew then that they HAD to fall in love. If not, then wow, they sure do look like they love each other.

Episode 7 is bloody brilliant. I can't watch on HBOGO because the lame heads can't hold my provider even though I am a subscriber to HBO. I won't spoil it for you, unless you want me to, but all I have to say is "DAMN! DAMN, DAMN, DAMN!" .

Oops sorry :( I forget about the spoiler tags!!

omg omg omg, I found a way to watch the 7th ep and all i can say is omg!!
I had a feeling that little finger was going to betray Nedd and i hadn't even gotten up to that part in the book yet. My BF kept saying that he was good etc but I knew otherwise :D

And omg it was so cute when Khal Called Dany his Moon and his speech to his men was amazing, man he is pissed now!!! Omggg I want another episode!

Two weeks until the next one is too long!

Its okay :) I forget about them from time to time too, not much of spoiler tags lol

I loved that part because it showed a bit of what he is in the books to Dany. The whole "promise" scene was done incredibly as well, even the Eddard ending scene. I hope LittleFinger is a double-double crosser who is really still on Eddard's side...I just hope :(

Don't look at this one if you aren't further in the books :)
And I knew they loved each other, I just knew it. Now it has been confirmed to me and has made them being together even better. :33

Well... now I think we can all say for sure, that when someone offers you a
golden crown that everyone will look upon with fear
, you had better damned well not take it. That scene, in my honest opinion, just sold the entire episode. I loved it.

Also, that goes as one of the top 10 worst ways to die in my book. The look of fear on his face and that scream was priceless. Dude shouldn't have been a dick. :mokken:

Oh shit, I thought this was a discussion thread. Oh well, fuck it, I'll join.

Welcome then Chell! I will add you to the list. I believe there is a discussion thread, I post in one... :33

Agreed @ the first spoiler part in your post.
Stupid Viserys. Shouldn't have done that, especially in front of Drogo. Must have been drinking a lot to be that idiotic lol

The acting in that part was superb on all accounts. It made you feel almost bad for the guy until you remembered why it was that it was happening to him in the first place. The dude had it coming. And just to think...
if he only waited a few more episodes, he would have got his damned army and then some.
:wacky:

A few more days of
Dany trying to convince Drogo and yea, he would have gotten it. But I suppose seeing the people love his sister so badly made him act sooner.

At least he got the crown he was promised, right? :awesome:

This Club needs more Fans!! Game of Thrones is ace!

I feel so naked not having an episode to watch this week :( That's what I get for being impatient and watching Ep 7 a week early XD

I need to find out what happens with
Littlefinger and Ned
I still haven't read that far in the book :( I've been slack!!

I agree, more fans here. It seems we are the only cool ones here.

I felt that way too :( I shouldn't have watched, but I had to. It was killing me not to! T.T

I have been reading up a storm. Nearly done with book 3 and am like "what? No! Yes! Noooo! Ohmygosh! Yea, go you! Not you! Why that?" Almost every page! This really is a whole big game of thrones.

Oh! I can't wait for you to read the rest! :D

I accidentally read a spoiler about the later books that made me go 'NOOOOOOO!!!' :( so I am currently reading up as fast as I can to make it to that part.

I only just got up to the
Golden Crown bit

Oh? What was the spoiler? :33

I thought it was fitting. I a lot of people felt sad and sorry for him, but I didn't. He treated his sister like garbage, he deserved it. I'm not sure how you feel sorry for (fake) people like that. :hmph:

And my my...I wanted to say this forever but can never seem to remember: ROBB'S ACTOR IS SO HANDSOME! Ahem...that is all xD

You know the first few episodes I never noticed Robb too much but now, omg, he is definitely a looker!! Probably the hottest guy in the show besides
King Roberts Blacksmith Bastard, seriously that guy had the nicest eyes! I also can't believe Robb is meant to be 14 in the books... it's kinda creepy!

I agree with you about
Dany's brother (I always forget his name) dying in that way, it was very fitting for his character. I didn't feel sorry for him at all, although I do miss him, I found him to be an interesting Character to watch, he made you hate him which shows he's a great actor!

And now, the spoiler I read, it wasn't really HUGE but
It did reveal that the Starks are slowly phased out of being main characters and that a lot of misfortune comes their way, I also read that possibly one of the Stark daughters die??
Hopefully that's not true haha

He's 14 at the start, but the books span roughly 2-3 years. By the time of the third book, he is a man (16-17). It is creepy if things have happened to him, but in a fantasy realm it makes sense, since its based on knightly hood ages, that 14 year old boys were sent off to become warriors and squires :)

Her brother is Viserys. :)

Definitely! Before I read the books, I wondered if the actor fit the role and questioned the show's pick of cast (though seriously...everyone they have picked for their roles have been absolutely perfect, especially Arya and Tyrion and Dany's actors/actresses.
Look at this. Friggin' hilarious xD
