Anyone else think this comic is an absolute stroke of genius?

Note: I hope this thread is in the right place. I figured it should be since it's relevant to FFI...but I'm not entirely sure...

Meh, 8-bit theather is alright. Some of their strips are pretty funny. I've read some of them in the past. Honestly, I'm more of a fan of Penny Arcade and VG cats.

I love 8-Bit Theater. I've been reading them ever since I got FF1 in July and it's never failed to make me laugh.

8-bit Theatre is awesome, although the way the plot grinds along so slowly can be maddening, especially for those who are caught up and want each new update to be meaningful.

I just love how the creator is the hugest nerd ever. Many people haven't caught the DnD references. For example, when BM shoots his hadoken at the volcano, he misses. RM tells us that in everything we do, there is a 5% chance that we fail miserably (as in.. missing a volcano. How do you miss a volcano?)

What happened in that BM rolled a 1.

Very true.

Still, re-reading the older comics to pass the time never disappoints. :D

is there anywhere to download the pages as a .zip or .rar file? ive been trying to save the pages one by one but its a bit too tedious for me :wacky:

"I like Swords"
"Welcome to Corneria"
"I like Swords"
"Welcome to Corneria"

I love that part. Oh, and somebody talked about the other references (Missing a volcano) and I agree, that is pretty funny. Being a D&D fan and FF fan, I gotta say RM is my second favorite (I am not rolling a bluff check to see if I can re-roll my previous bluff check), but BM is the best. I didn't understand how Lich stole his power though. Can anybody explain that?

technically it doesn't all it uses is the charactors of the series i think there should be a forum for flash films related to final fantasy cause there are alot of good ones
now a relevent reply
yea i like it, but it is much better with the animation for the flafh film version

8-bit theater is hilarious. I could not quit laughing at the fighter guy's 2 fisted monkey style attack, that scence where the fighter guy kept saying "I like swords." everytime the guard said "Welcome to Corneria.", the fighter dude not shutting up about the light warriors stuff("Were gonna be light warriors! Weeeeeeeeee!"), that one scence with Cloud at the light warriors tryouts when he is summoning the chocobo and the gigantic sword is too heavy for him, the scene with the black mage at the retirement home using bolt-2, and when he is flirting with the white mage. Those are my favorite scenes so far.

And that's just the beginning, my dear.

I like it, but yes, I find it too slow. When are they going to proceed with the main plot anyways?

8-bit theater

Alright, so i found a fanfic comic of the original FF called 8-bit theater. It's still ongoing, and it describes the tale of the 4 warriors of light if they were total morons and pyschopaths. That's the best description i got. and the thing is hilarious! Here's the link to the very first page (note: there's about 1000 pages, and it's still not done): http://www.nuklearpower.com/2001/03/02/episode-001-were-going-where/

anyone else read this or has heard about it?

8-Bit theatre has been around for a very long time. Still maintains a canon story line and has it's moments. It has gotten dull lately though.

8 Bit Theater

Here's a discussion forum I made for 8 Bit Theater, the popular and funny parody of Final Fantasy I.

OMG 8-bit theater is so freakin funny XD but it has gotten a tiny bit dull lately but that doesnt stop me from loving every one i read :x3: Black mage is just the funniest out of all of them XD

Favorite Quotes:
~Black Mage: Why don't you go with Thief or something so I can forget that you exist and let the unending tide of rage that I call "being awake" simmer down to a mere powder keg of fury.

~Sarda: Well, I’ve grown a mustache. That’s two weeks down. Just 14 billion years to go. Wish I had a deck of cards.

~B
lack Mage: So, Red Mage, enlighten us. How can a plan that makes no sense work?
Red Mage: One simple reason: It makes too little sense to fail.
Black Mage: What.
Red Mage: Most plans are critically flawed by their own logic. A failure at any step will ruin everything after it. That’s just basic cause and effect. It’s easy for a good plan to fall apart. Therefore, a plan that has no attachment to logic cannot be stopped. The success or failure of any given step will have no impact on the macro level.
Black Mage: That’s so stupid I can’t even see straight anymore.

~Black Mage: You don’t happen to work at the UPS, do you?
White Mage: Uh… no.
Black Mage: ‘Cause I coulda swore I saw you checkin’ out my package!

~Vilbert Von Vampire: Ready?
Red Mage: I was born ready.
Fighter: I was born naked and screaming.
Black Mage: And if all goes according to plan, you’ll die like that too.
