I'm gonna try this as short as I can....

This all starts with my mom. She has M.S. and cancer in her neck. I moved in bout 6 months ago to take care of her and help with the bills. I have been giving her bout 400.00 a week and also grocerys. Well last Sunday she tells me "I'm sorry but they have foreclosed on the house and we gotta be out by the 9th of May"... Holy SH**!! That's in 2 days from now. I've got 3 grand in the bank and 3 kids looking at me. I've been up late at nite packing and calling about houses like a mad man. I was soo o.k. before this on my own now I'm screwed and totally stressed out. I wanna be mad at my mom but I just can't. I feel like the whole world is crashing all around me.. THIS IS THE WORST FEELING EVER... Sorry guys I had to vent... I will post back when everything gets worked out.. Any (positive) comments would help....
 
>.< That really sucks...I'm kinda in a similar situation as well. I'm supporting my mom and giving her 200 bucks a month, then she told me the landlord's kicking them out of the place this May. I don't know where she'll be going though, as she lives in a different country. It's stressing but I know things will get better soon.

We were in a situation like that over a year ago too and had to move out of the place (Cali) in three days time. So now here we are in Ohio living with my dad and his family. It sucks, but we saw a way out of our problem, and so we took it. Try to look in different angles too, even if the situation's not as appealing.

Also, don't view it as the worst feeling ever...things can get worse, but fortunately, there's always still hope at the end of the day. You just have to think straight and act accordingly to each situation as possible. Be positive, as trite as that may sound. I don't exactly know what to tell you that may help you out, but hopefully you can find a place for you all in time. If you have to, borrow money from friends and family. =/
 
My mom is always telling us how poor we are, and if we get kicked out of the house or something, I'm screwed, because I'm old enough to move out, BUT I don't even have a high school diploma, so job-hunting will be a real pain in the ass.
 
You moved in to your moms house 6 months ago. Did you sell your place before moving there, or rent it? Or niether? If you rented it or just left it, you could always go back there, though I'm not sure how renting works really....

Or you could rent an apartment for a bit until you have enough to get a new house or pay off any loans you got.

I was renting and the house I was renting has since been rented out.. Though there is a court date tommorrow that I plan to go to in order to try to get an extention on the date we have to be out.. Another thought was get a storage unit (really big one), pack all my crap in there and get an apartment/something. I have a couple of leads for houses and still pounding those out.. Well I'll see how it goes it just is soo damn nerve racking.

Hopefully you can get that extension date. Hmm, just in case you can't afford a down payment for a house yet (for I know it'd probably cost you a lot), try looking for a condo. I know usually you pay the same monthly as you do an apartment...but with a condo, you can at least pull some equity out. You'll just need a down payment, but at least the down payment wouldn't cost as much like the one for a house...
 
... what the hell happened to human decency? I'd certainly not kick out a sick person, especially if they were paying a reasonable amount. Naturally I wouldn't put up with it forever but... that landlord's a dick for giving such short notice.


If you have no place of residence by the time you're removed, I suggest hiring a storage container for your things. At least then you can possibly stay at a friend's house for a few days while you get yourself and your mother somewhere to live, without wondering where the hell to put your stuff. You'd be better off looking for flat for now. Finances don't seem to be serving here, so getting somewhere as small as possible would be ideal... for your pocket.

It sucks to hear about this. I hope things turn out alright for you guys.

The really does suck, my best advice would be ask a family member or a close friend to take you and your mum in and that should give you time to fine a new place to stay.(sorry am not the best person on giving advice)
 
Yeah thanks Guys courts in two hours and i'm nervous. I don't think any judge in there right mind would kick us out today but its still possible....:worried:.. I'm trying to kill time right now and stay strong. I really want to just beat the ever loving crap outta someone...But if you guys don't here back from me chances are I'm putting my crap in storage and freaking the hell out.. I'll post later if all goes well though...
 
I cant believe that the house has been foreclosed in your mothers condition, thats just pure sickness. Its horrid to do this to an ill woman and I wish you good luck and please let us know x

Well the judge said we had 10 days to leave.. Then he said they would not forcably move us out for 25-30 days from today... Whew thank god. I've been denied for three houses thus far due to someone else applying with better credit. I have a meating with 2 other landlords coming up and one guy seamed real nice.. *fingers crossed* I hope to get one of these if not I'll keep trying. But 25 days is alot better than today:). And I know some landlord out there wants this 3000.00 dollars. Somethings gotta shake loose.
 
Wow, Sever it sure sounds like this is a pain. But at the moment its so far so good. Good luck man, I hope everything turns out okay for you.

Allright I've hired a real estate lawyer (2000.00 USD) and he has informed me of a "right of redemption". Basically what thst is if the house that has been foreclosed on has not been sold to a private individual then the previous owners (if they can come up with the money) can buy it back. I have contacted family in California that has the means to help me. They have been talking to this laywer they got and are saying that its a good chance to save the house.

Now you've gotta understand that this house is a two story 5 bedroom house. It has a 2 car garage, two sheds, a in-ground pool, and a football field. It is also attached to 5 acres of land. So the value is way up there. But these are aslo the reasons I want to save this house for my family and my mom.

Now nothing is final yet and I'm still looking to rent a house. One potential landlord called today and said they had a meeting to get a deposit. If that meeting goes as planned--I'm out of it... Another landlord (the one that I felt good about) has stated that would let me know at the latest by the middle of this week. Which is tommorrow. I will keep trying to rent a house because I ONLY HAVE 2 WEEKS!! Soo everythings up in the air. Its been alot of late nights and at least things seem to be looking better. (I hope) I'll post later to let you guys know, and thanks agian for the comments.

Guess I gotta double post... sue me. But I wanted to let you guys know how it finally turned out.

Well the banks that owes the house is not open for negotiations. They will not sell back the house. I filed an appeal on the evection and bought myself more rent free time :P. Meanwhile I have found another house to buy and the closing date is set for the first of next month. The inspection went well and everything is looking good. It dosn't have an in-ground pool or 5 acres of land but it has a massive 4 car garage (where I can get back to airbrushing). And its a tri-level so Its almost as big as the one I've got now. Everything is looking so much better now. This has been a terrible experince. I have taken over all the bills (which where all late) and have caught them up. The new mortgage bill wil come to me so that this will never happen again.

Anyways thanks agian for letting me vent.
