1st Disk Final Weapons

I just wanted to know how many of you took to this challenge this early in the game.

I have Zells Ehrgiez, Selphies Final Weapon, Quistis' Save the Queen, and
Squalls Lionheart

Its just awesome to get these weapons at this point in the game.
Ive been playing this game forever seeing if it was possible to do such a thing and...BAM! I did it!
 
i got the lionheart by getting pulse ammmo from elynole cards, dragon fang from t-rex and adamantite from the card which the minotaurs drop
 
I got all most all the things for all their ultimate weapons but then I quit because it no fun having most powerful weapons at the start of the game so I got them later on.

Preach on! It took me a whole night to get enough Elnoyle cards to make enough Pulse Ammo.

I think after the Lionheart, the only best weapon I got was Ehergiz, and Exeter. Arg, I hated doing that.
 
I didn't even know you could get them that early in the game. I had squall's by the third disk, the others I didn't get until the third disk, I'm so slow when it comes to these things, it always takes me a while

Hey, no problem! and when you do get the Final Weapons, you breeze right through the game. But the challenge is dead in the begining of the game. I think you should give it a try Laguna_Dream! you might become a God... you never know!
 
I haven't even bothered completing the game yet, nor am I very far. I've already got most of the materials for the better upgrades, but really, I've not got much interest in spending hours and hours looking for teeny little items.

Squall still only has his normal Gunblade. XD

Do you have the Ifrit Card? Did you get the Magical Lamp? You can find the Quistis card in the Cafeteria. Talk to the Trepe Groupie on the right on the right table. Play Zells mom, for Zells Card. Having some of these cards will put you in God mode for Triple Triad. Now all you need is the Wedge and Biggs card, That can also be acquired by Zells mom, or by the guy at the reception desk in Balamb Garden. Now start Playing Cards Saix!

Oh you can obtain the GF card MiniMog from the kid running in circles in Balamb Garden, hes pretty easy.
 
Well I'm also on disk 3, so I don't know how many of those are actually available to me at this point. Unless of course one can only obtain said items from those people, then I guess I'll do that.
 
Yeah I had no idea you could get these this early on as well. I figured that the oportunity to remodel the weapons arose once you progressed through the story-line. Oh well, just reiterates my belief that FFVIII was the easiest of any FF game so far.
 
Yeah, I never knew that either, I didn't even think all the items were available in the first disk, but if people have already done it well I guess they all are and I'll have to try it one day

You have to have a certain amount of cards to face the CC group of Balamb Garden, say around 90-95 or so. The first of the CC group you must face first is Jack...then Club, Then the Diamond Duo, Then Spade.
The rest have VERY rare cards you might want to obtain:

Joker:Location-Training Center; Cards-Tiamat, and Laviathan(SUPER rare)

After you defeat Joker, Go after Xu, she has something suprising to say to you.
Xu: Location-Bridge of Balamb Garden;Cards-Ultima Weapon, and Carbuncl
(SUPER rare)

After defeating Xu, put Quistis into your party and rest with everyone in the room. Your in for a suprise
?????????-Location: your Dorm room! Cards-Gilgamesh

And from disk 2 and on, you can face them any time in Balamb Garden...
Go Get'em Saix.

Oh. Heres how to get Rinoas Card:
Select 4 weak cards and put Ifrits card into your hand as well. LOSE your Ifrit Card intesionally. He'll say something smart@$$y. then play him again. If not the first time, keep playing him until he throws out his Daughters card. Yep you guessed it. General Caraway has his own Daughters card
