As one of those rare people that are playing XIV, and experiencing what Yoshida can do in the FF series. He's literally a godsend, he's taken a complete flop of an FF game and made it feel like Final Fantasy again. If he was at the helm of the FFXV, I would be already pre-ordering.
I'm not a big MMO player either. I fall into his category of FF player that has only played 2 MMOs (more than a week), FFXI (which is regarded as successful, but not enough to draw console gamers in), and now XIV (which I only continued to play because I really want SE to turn around, and they are)
Not that 1 fan's opinion means a lot, but I think it says something about what SE is trying to do for the FF series. Yoshida gets it, and he's the first person in the company that I think understands what an FF game is in a modern era.
