Kitase: Final Fantasy XIII-2 ‘the first time we used western testers’

Final Fantasy XIII-2 will go down in the history books for Square Enix. The title marks the first time Square’s Japanese development team utilized testers in North America and Europe, according to producer Yoshinori Kitase.
“Of course we do respect our fans in the west,” said Kitase to German PlayStation magazine Play3. “We always used to contact test gamers, but never before those from the west. Final Fantasy XIII-2 was the first time we have done this in [both] Europe and North America. We collected opinions and perceptions, so we really know the opinions of all gamers, and can express them in the game.”
Final Fantasy XIII-2 launched in Japan last month. It will launch for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in North America on January 31 and in Europe on February 3.

I agree the approach on the matter stinks. Or it could be a good thing....I dont know anymore....

Considering Square-Enix have just admitted they consistently used Japanese testers and given that they've also consistently churned out shit games for nearly a decade it seems pretty obvious that the Japanese testers are fine with half-arsed games. Down with the Japanese market boo-hiss!

Cool story, now how about we hear some information about FKING FFVersus. I want that game with the KH gameplay style not shitty FFXIII battle system!

I know for sure I won't be interested in this game since it has Sarah as a main character and the story being meh, I don't care about western or Japanese testers.

How can asking more people to test it be bad in anyway? You can only get more representative views on what people think of the game.
