Rumour – Gilgamesh, Jihl and more coming to Final Fantasy XIII-2 DLC

Whispers say the Final Fantasy XIII-2 DLC barrage will not stop any time soon.

Siliconera cites an anonymous source for news that upcoming DLC will add a Coliseum battle with Final Fantasy V’s Gilgamesh.
Players who obtain a crystal from this fight will be able to add Gilgamesh as a monster party member.
The site also names Final Fantasy XIII’s Jihl Nabaat as an upcoming Coliseum character, although it doesn’t make it explicit whether Jihl is expected to be recruitable.
Finally, a villain from Final Fantasy VI is expected to turn up. Kefka is the beloved title’s most prominent antagonist, but there are others.
This week’s console update brought a couple of pieces of new DLC to the RPG – a gambling-focussed pack about Sazh, and some new costumes.

I like Gilgamesh's appearance in FFXII. I like the small cut scene's when he introduces a new weapon to fight with.
I think its cool that they are introducing all these 'possible' playable characters, but I would really like some DLC that CONTINUES the story. Instead of minor distractions and random content.

Agree 100%. I am not going to spend $ on battles to recruit some monster after I have already gotten all 160 fragments... That is a complete waste of money.

If any villain is gonna turn up in the coliseum in FFXIII-2 from FFVI that will deal with DLC.. i think it would be Ultros. I mean, they are used him in Theatrhythm so why not here? I wouldn't be too ecstatic if Kefka was used as DLC in XIII-2 DLC >.>

but then again.. they could just use time paradox as an excuse :P

Yeah recruiting them is kinda stupid, especially after getting all 160 fragments but as new bosses to fight, as long as they are challenging, is a fine. Omega can be challenging but I've beat him twice and I fought Lightning and Amodar to be easier than Omega. So Im ready for more of a challenge.

I think I'm done with buying DLC now. Lightning and Amodar were good at first, because I hadn't completed the game. The outfits were alright, and the Sazh DLC got me playing a bit more. Now that I have done everything in the game, these new Coliseum DLC just seem pointless to me. I wouldn't be able to put the monsters to use.

Now, if SE released some story DLC that could get me to play some more, I may decide on getting that. But more Coliseum battles, no. =/

SE is going to release plenty more these story episodic DLC for many characters. You can expect one for Lightning and probably one for Fang and Vanille. they are going to milk this DLC to the fullest.

I guess SE's making up for Jihl's lack of screentime in the previous game, seeing as she was the one character that had a lot of potential for character development, which we can see from her moveset. It's nice to see what she's like in a battle as well, since all we got from her from the first game were cutscenes, and mind you, they were too short for her to be properly explored.
