I just downloaded Pocket Frogs last night after reading this thread, and man, I don't think I've ever wasted so much time doing so little :wacky: I have an Ipad and though I probably haven't taken as much advantage of the apps as I probably should have, there's still a couple that I really...
I dyed my hair purple for halloween once and then shaved my head immediatedly after :wacky: That's the only time though since I don't really like the idea of letting any product other than shampoo anywhere near my head.
I'd agree with that one. Just like most other teenage stars, he's just some poor kid with overly ambitious parents. Yet some people think he's the second coming of Satan or something. Personally I haven't actually heard him sing, but that video of him being interviewed on New Zealand TV where he...
There are a couple of people like that I've crossed paths with over the years where the circumstances just prevented any sort of friendship developing. One case involved a colleague of mine who was a great guy and whom I had a lot of interests in common with. The problem was that he was lazy as...
I have no problem with it whatsoever and it's not something that makes me uncomfortable if I see it in public either. If a woman was to bare her breast in public in any other situation, then yes it probably would be a bit weird, but it's all about context.
Not just one book, but a trilogy, The First Law by Joe Abercrombie is a series which every serious fantasy fan should give a chance. Especially if you need a break from the orcs and elves of high fantasy and is after something darker, grittier, and funnier!
Reading Joe Abercrombie's books...
That thing in Zelda: Phantom Hourglass where you have to shout into the microphone of the Nintendo DS in order to make it cover it's ears so that you can whop it with the sword. That shit is really hard to pull off while using public transportation without looking like a complete retard :rage:
To me it's more a matter of internet security. The fewer people who have access to the information on my facebook page, the less likely is the chance of that information falling into the wrong hands. Not that I have anything insanely private on there or anything, but still :P
For most parts my facebook friends are either old school friends, family members, actual friends, and colleagues. I used to also have a few people I had met online on my friends list, but had a change of heart and removed most of them except for a select few people I have known for ages and ages...
Wasn't the backwards compability one of the reasons why the PS3 was initially so expensive? Personally I think it's better to keep the console as cheap as possible and let people pay extra if they want the backwards compability (which not everyone does).
When the producers shoot their wad way too early and resolve major plot points and story archs long before the show is taken off the air. Twin Peaks is a good example of this (season 2 was utterly pointless) and I don't think Supernatural ever really recovered from their season 2 finale either.
I've always thought that striking a quid pro quo deal works well in situations like this. You offer to do something she wants you to do in exchange for her playing Final Fantasy for an hour. She may still not like it of course, but I bet she'd be willing to give it a fair shot :neomon:
I celebrate my cat's birthday on 9/11. A. Because I have no friggin idea when the beast was actually born and B. Because it's easy to remember :wacky: also please note that I'm not some kind of weirdo who throws a big party for the beast or anything. It's really just another lame excuse for me...
That too was brilliant. I watched it all the time at my aunt and uncle's place when I was a kid. I always thought of it as one of the classics though, but maybe that's my own appreciation of the movie clouding the facts :P
I too liked Avatar much better when it was called Pocahontas :wacky:
Apart from that I thought that Treasure Planet was really good. It came out when 3D animation was really breaking through and replacing 2D and I think that's why it never really achieved the classic status of previous movies...
I'm not sure if I agree with you on that that. Lord of the Rings had a large cast of characters as well and still managed to give everyone a conclusion in the end. Nor did I think that the epilogue was as comprehensive as I would have liked it to be as it doesn't really go into what happened...
I'm definitely looking forward to that one! Especially because Warren Spector is the main man behind the game, and he previously did lots of really innovative and interesting games such as Deus Ex and Thief. He's looking to do something different with the character and it seems like Disney is...
Does anyone know how the original Japanese version of the game was worded? Did they actually use the Japanese words for "church" and "gospel" or did they go for more traditional Japanese terms from the Shinto religion perhaps?
After playing FF X-2, I have assumed that the church in Final Fantasy VII is an off shoot of sorts of the church of Yevon in Final Fantasy X. Christian imagery (the church and such) I believe was just used because it is imagery that most people would be familiar with and would thus make it...
Thanks to everyone who posted, some really good advise here.
She came back last night and we hada good talk about what needs to happen between us to make things work. I won't say things are going great again, but at least we are living under the same roof and that is a start...
