Figured I'd reply to my post, since I've been playing the game myself (not that I have a lot to report).
In case anyone's wondering about technical specs, I'm running a core i7 @ 2.8Ghz, a Radeon HD 4890, and 6 gigs of DDR3 1600, and I've got the game running pretty smooth with everything...
Technically, this game seems very pretty: surfaces looks extremely smooth, creatures have great detail (that crab looks badass). But from what I've seen (which is extremely limited), the colors just seem...boring. Everything looks washed-out and muted. It gives the game a more realistic...
I've also heard about the linearity of FFXIII, but when you think about it, pretty much every FF is the same way (not counting tactics/CC/etc). I was worried when I read about them removing all the explorable towns, but someone made a good point - FF7/8/9/10/12 all had explorable world maps...
"the graphic the game play everything will be the same no different at all so it really does not matter"
Sadly, untrue. PS3 version will have lossless audio and 1080p cutscenes, neither of which are available on the xbox.
Possibly this was pointed out in previous pages - I read the first 5...
I've always been perplexed by the ability of one person's opinion to alter that of another's.
If something you like is "ruined" by someone else's love/hate for it, what does that say about you?
Doesn't that make you sad? It makes me sad.
Jumped into one game yesterday, bypassing the training, and did alright :D
Only played one round, got halfway to level 2 (pwn). Seems cool, just wish I had a high-def TV. Playing on standard def makes picking out objects difficult, especially in dark areas.
Gameplay was pretty sweet...
Super Metroid is the only reason anyone needs to own a SNES - my goal is to one day beat it in under 2 hours. Was one of the first games I got on Wii VC. Also great on the SNES was Gradius III, super double dragon, and legend of the mystical ninja.
On the NES it'd have to be Paperboy.
I've been open for years now, came out back in high school when.........wait -
*reads previous posts*
OH, emotionally open, right :/
I've found being open is so much easier to live with than being emotionally closed off. Never have to wonder if people really like you - if someone doesn't...
Maybe it's because I haven't yet looked at the "what sucked about 2009" thread, but it seems like 2009 was a pretty decent year for most folks.
1) got a degree
2) got a job
3) girlfriend
4) bought a house
5) distant worlds concert
The bar has been set for 2010.
I only played SC once on an arcade against an experienced player and button mashed my way to victory XD (not conclusive evidence of anything, but so far my only experience). Judging a fighting game based on storyline seems silly to me. I know they include stories, but I didn't think anyone...
FFIX is pretty incredible (still not sure what FF I'd consider my favorite). I'd almost put it at the top for Vamo' alla Flamenco. But something that's always bothered me about that game - Zidane has to be the ugliest protagonist in FF history. I'm honestly trying to think of a main "good...

Is anyone else of the opinion that hacking isn't that bad of an issue? Yes hacking is present, but I don't own any games which have been ruined by hacking. I've been playing CS since beta 3, so if there's a hack on CS I've probably seen it.
Fortunately there are literally...
