Anyone seen this movie? What are your thoughts?
I liked it even though mr Potter is very unbelievable as a father. Like the end of the Harry Potter movies with 15 years later ...pff..

Had some scary moments, but since Im a horror freak I wasnt scared at all. :britt:

i thought it was a very well made film. i'd heard that it was absolutely terrifying and shouldn't be a 12a, so i think i expected a little too much of it.

even though daniel radcliffe gave a good performance, he was poorly cast in the role. it's just too hard to believe that he would be widowed with a 4 year old son

Also I dont understand the ending. Why did the spirit kill his son? I thought mr Potter already took the spirit's seven year old son's dead body to her and everything would be ok. He even put the body in her coffin. Weird ending.. Scare woman also. Her look at the end was really scary.
My mom thought the movie was way too scary. She is a horror freak as well. Funny.

it turns out at the end that reuniting her and her son doesn't solve the curse.

what i found scariest about the film were the toys in the house. there's no way i'd ever play with those.

Then how do you know those moments were scary?

I am hoping to go see this at some point, but I rarely have a chance to get out to the cinema these days. Fun Fact, the actor who played Daniel Radcliffe's father in the Harry Potter films, played the same character as Radcliffe in the original version of this movie
