Help Point of the Card Game

hmmmm ive definately always won that the quistis card from the lassie in the classroom. IM positive of it :hmmm:

Yes you can, you can win it from any one of the Quistis Trepes I believe. :hmmm: It might not be any one of them but it is most of them. And Kira good luck dont forget to get Minimog from the little kid in the blue jump suit running around Balamb Garden.

EDIT: Just checked my guide and you can only win it from the 1 guy in the cafeteria, and the two girls in the classroom. :D

you can collect some GF skills thru cards such as 3 Stars from squall card
Holy War can be retrieved from Gilgamesh card which is very helpfull when fighting Ultima and Omega Weapon. Most of the important items can be collected using cardmod. Some of the rare cards doesnt give that much of an item but some are really important. As for me, I only have 1 page left in my items slot which i believe wont be complete because of some itmes that needs to be dispatched such as magic lamp and solomon ring for the Gfs...its because of card moding and refining and getting the cards again and refine

wow, I never knew that. I think I've been inspired to go back and play it again just to work on my card skills. My only question is how does the game actually work? I've played before but it's been years and I don't remember how you actually win. The game explained it I remember but it was probably confusing to me.
 
Basic rules are higher number wins. There are a few other rules that increase the difficulty but up until Timber that's all you worry about. Once you hit Timber, the same rule comes into play and if you place a card between two others and the same numbers line up, like so:

8 7
4 4 4 2
8 6
8
7 6
2

If you place the 8484 there you can flip over both cards if they aren't both yours already. Two new ones come in at Fisherman's Horizon but that's second disk. Hopefully you'll get more comfortable with it.

Also, its the Minotaur card that refines into 10 Adamantine and its only 10 Elnoyle cards for an Energy Crystal.
