Fan Fiction Dissidia 012 Discussion

lol, you can say that, but I think it's still possible. Like, in the first-er, "last" Dissidia game, similar plot points from the original FF games got portrayed in the Dissidia context as a throw back to show the relationships between the Cosmos and Chaos warriors. I think they could do the same thing here in Duodecim with characters from the same game, even if they technically don't know each other.

Although I'll concede it wouldn't be unlikely for Yuna and Tidus to actually know eachother after all. I recall Cecil knowing Golbez
was his brother
at the beginning of his POV.

The plot is very much non canon and the stories from the original most likely didn't happen, so of course Lake Macalania and the game's ending meant nothing, they most likely didn't happen. :8F: As Fusion said though, they will probably have moments in this Dissidia that referrence things that happen in the other games, like they did on the last Dissidia.

And I agree with Summoned Beast Battle being a bit disappointing. However, like I pointed out earlier, I reckon they toned down some of the themes more so they can be repeated often for battles and not effect the epicness of the originals when you replay the Final Fantasy's they are from. That's my theory anyway, and it would explain how they were able to go all out on FFIV's battle theme instead.

Hey, I was just wondering if anyone heard of this site:
http://www.ffdream.com/news-12998.html

Someone said it says:
"la présence du portrait de Aeris laisse à penser que se ne serait pas qu'un simple personnage "Assist" "

translation:
"The presence of Aerith's profile suggests that she'll not be just an assist character"

I was just wondering how true it could be or not. :/ Also, maybe they'd have some information you all would like to read. :3

They could still have more playable characters for other games, though, man. :hmmm: I don't get why everyone dislikes this so much.

Its favouring FFVII. which means that SE thinks its god. Wich its not :/ If the fans wanted Aerith that much. then why is Tifa here? its stupid. Aerith could be used for someone better. If thee is room for more...well its still a wasted space.

To you it is. I personally think the thing from 11 or whatever it was is a waste of space but, hey, that's just me. :griin: And I can say the same for a few other characters.

If SE wants to put Aerith in there, good. She's hardly ever used in crap like this and she's one of the most memorable FF characters there is.

I think it's about time they pay some recognition to the flower girl.

That said, nobody has said SE isn't going to put more characters in here. Geez.

I have to agree with Connor here. It would be favouring FFVII, and it'll be unfair towards players who want to see characters from FFV, VI, and IX added.

And I think she may have a story involvement, but, maybe not, since she's an add on, though that may just mean she won't be avaliable as an assist in story mode. Fingers crossed.

...I also gotta disagree with Aerith not getting much attention, she's been in KH and made a sort of cameo in Tactics, that's more than Red, Cid, Barret and Zack and on pretty much an equal level as many others.

Dont forget she was in Itadaki street. (Which is a Dragonquest FinalFantasy monopoly crossover game) so she is one of the most seen charecters in Videogames. let alone final fantasy.

If Aerith was really that popluar. WTH IS TIFA HERE :rage:

You got me there...

Ok. if she is playable. what would she play like?
How about... better than Yuna can. Aerith isn't just limited to magic. She can use summons too AND fight with her rods/staffs. She'd fight like Yuna's going to just better. :wacky:

Aerith's screentime in tactics and KH does not equate to the amount of fanservice Zack's gotten. They're not going to add Zack because Zack is just like Cloud in fighting style. Do you know how lame that'd be? Not to mention, Zack isn't one of the main characters for the plot of VII.

I don't care how SE involves Aerith, as long as she's present. :griin:

Because... both woman are as popular as the other. 'Cept one has bigger assets. :wacky:

Aerith is just as popular as Tifa. Famitsu did a poll not too long ago on who fans favorite video game character was. She ranked #24 and Tifa ranked #19, so Aerith wasn't really that far behind.

In a way, I would love it if Aerith was a playable character, but I also wouldn't want to see her getting beat up by the other characters. :sad3:

Ditto. :sad3: It just... would not be right. So in a way, I'm happy if she's just an assist character.

But if they were to throw her in there like how Cosmos is... that'd be wicked :ohoho: like she has a part in the story but can't be played. :yay:

Maybe Tifa was easier to work with than Aerith in terms of Dissidia's battle system, look at it, there was no Monk before, and her limit break was easy to convert into an Ex-Burst command input. They can't just whack Aerith in and give her a half baked fighting style, it would piss the players off, especially her fanbase. I understand that it could be argued that Yuna got in and she has a similar fighting style, but she has the unique ability of her Aeons. When I reflect on it, the only unique abilities of Aerith serve as a more supportive role.

As for Zack, tbh, I don't think his popularity holds a torch to Aerith's, nor am I saying he should be added to Dissidia. Woop-de-doo if I'm wrong, that's totally besides the point.
