To be released on 11-11-11.

When I saw the title, and knew it would be in Skyrim, I literally jumped out of my chair and started bouncing. This is serious shit -- bouncing.

I've always wanted a game to be set in Skyrim, especially after I played through the Bloodmoon expansion for Morrowind! I hope they bring back the option to become a werewolf in this game; that was my favorite part of Bloodmoon. Nords have always been my favorite race to play as, too -- you're much taller as a Nord, makes things so much easier. Been everywhere on the map (almost) in past games, it's about time Skyrim got some attention!

Can't wait to get my hands on it! :x3:

However, I'm excited like a motherfucker for this game too. They've confirmed that they're going to use a different system, so that's already got me excited. I'm not sure if they're going to bring back the wearwolf, that was kind of broken.

Especially if you had the ring and you were a vampire too. Holy shit, I was hauling ass around Morrowind. :ffs:

Damn, I've been psyched out of my mind about this since it was announced a while back, how could I have not made a thread for it before this... xD

Must have slipped my mind...though I did create a Disgaea 4 thread in anticipation for it. :hmmm:

Anyways, yeah, I can't get these games for PC, the computer is terribly weak, and could never handle it, so I really, really hope they just make so players can become Werewolves in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim without having to use some mod for the PC version. >.<

Yeah, the elder scrolls games, starting with Oblivion are hell on a weaker computer. Morrowind was light though. And in it, you never needed a mod to be a werewolf, you just needed to either get hit by one a lot, or complete the quests in Bloodmoon.

Oblivion didn't have the option. Lore around Skyrim might be able to work werewolves back in the system. But nothing is quite sure at the moment. :hmmm:

Thus was born the Black Elf Nazi.

:wacky: The more I think about that, the more it cracks me up! xD I mean... Black? Elf? Nazi? xDDDD

Oh, you could write this shit up in a memoir and people wouldn't believe it! LMAO. You've made my day. :)

Yeah, the werewolf was a bit broken. The strongest shield in the game lost all hit/repair points after two hits from ONE werewolf. God forbid you were fighting two werewolves, you'd be screwed. You'd literally have NO armor on because it was all beat to scrap. That actually happened to me. <_< Let's not talk about that.

I loved hauling ass around Morrowind as well. Though, no matter how many times I tried (and I DID try), I could not get Porphyric Hemophilia. What's with that?

I don't really mind how the change the system, though -- I just want to play as a werewolf again. That was off the charts! Not to mention the badass armor and weapons. :x3:

Anywho, I haven't heard that they're changing the system -- do you know what changes they mean? *searches for news of this*

Yeah, I am hopefully all that lore stuff will make it just too much for the developers to ignore Werewolves again for this console game for PS3 and Xbox 360 (when setting PC aside).

Well, I sure as heck know I am gonna be keeping my fingers crossed. The not far off February issue of Game Informer is to have 14 pages of coverage on Skyrim, maybe there will be word of it then, or if really fortunate, maybe even a screenshot of a Werewolf. :awesome:

Okay, that may be going a bit far, but still...

If that happens, I will squee like an FFVII fangirl.

Oh.

Wait.

I aim to please. :griin:

My character was based around speed and strong a shit single handed swords, I dodged and weaved around werewolves like nothing. MILLIONS WERE KILLED BY MY HAND! :rage:

I always got the ring after the main quest line ended. However, to get it, you had to create a spell that reduced your resistances by %100. Cast it on yourself, and get raped by werewolves until it took hold. Then, just like when becoming a Vampire, you rest for a while.

I don't really mind how the change the system, though -- I just want to play as a werewolf again. That was off the charts! Not to mention the badass armor and weapons. :x3:
I missed Trueflame and Hopesfire (if that's what they were called) as well as the Eltonbrand in Oblivion. (If you know how to get Eltonbrand, I salute you. That bitch was the biggest fucking easter egg in the game. :wacky:

I can't remember where I read it at, but I'm sure more information will be released soon enough.

As for no werewolves in Oblivion, it simple wasn't called for. It didn't go with the lore of Tamriel. However, Skyrim should, so I would imagine if the demand is there, and if lore permits, they will bring them back.

EDIT:
TES V Game Engine — December 13, 2010

Previous announcements have stated that TES V would be built on a new version of the Gamebryo engine used in Oblivion and Fallout 3/New Vegas, but a Tweet from Bethesda Community Manager Nick Breckon stated, "We can now confirm that the TES V: Skyrim engine is all-new. And it looks fantastic." A followup answer stated that the engine was "a new graphics/gameplay engine built internally" and that more details would be forthcoming.

You have unlocked the "Twinker Twink" trophy!

:wacky:

Dude, if that's even partially true, more power to ya. I double specialized in shield & sword and in greatswords, but even the stalhrim armor couldn't take two hits from a werewolf and keep ticking. I suspect a glitch. <_<

That's just what I did, but it didn't do anything. D:

OMG me too! I wanted them back so bad. :( Eltonbrand was the shit xD But those were Mournhold weapons, sadly. Bloodmoon got some badass claymores -- I forget their names now. I loved the snow wolf and snow bear armor too. ^_^

*drools over idea of a new engine* Oblivion was great for its time, but as it ages, you become painfully aware of how pixelly everything is. ._.

Aye, but that's why you get Oblivion Graphics Extender and you make the game look 50 times as good as it was originally supposed to.

The same can be done with Morrowind. However, it goes without saying, that it's PC only. :griin:

and

Oh, it's good to be a PC gamer. :ryan:

Yeah well my computer has less than an 80 GB capacity, so I can only get a console version of these games, so I have to hope most of that really good stuff is in the game from release, or is included in some later released expansion, like how Oblivion got Shivering Isles (which I have, btw).

All true. Speed, acrobatics, agility, and long blade stats up to 100. I would then jump circle strafe werewolves, even on highest difficulty, and I would fuck them up sideways. :ryan:

They were lucky if they managed hit me once. :griin:

Okay, let's have percentages... What do you all think the chances are of being able to play as a Werewolf in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, even on the console versions without any of those mods that are made up?

At the moment, seeing as almost no information has been released, and nothing in the Elder Scrolls Wiki, or any guide book mentions Werewolves of any kind... None.

However, anything can change as more information is released. :hmmm:

Well if you're gonna be like that, you could say there is no chance of pretty much anything happening, because hardly any information has been released... :ffs:

But come around the middle of this month, that should all change, we should all learn a lot more of this game at about that time. :ryan:

The only thing that has been released about Skyrim is hints of it's lore. Going by that, I have to assume that Werewolves will not be in the game. It's logic. Sure, you can safely assume other things are going to be in there, such as swords and what not, but that's given. Werewolves are part of the series' lore, at least in Morrowind and Daggerfall.

If I was to base it of that, I could give it a %15 chance. Other than that, I have no choice (until more lore from Skyrim is introduced and more story elements are revealed) to say that they're not.

Well, we will see what exactly about The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is brought to the light of day later this month, then a more fair judgment could be made, whether you would choose to do so at that time or not being your choice, but I am gonna keep my mind open with Skyrim and hope for the best.

My mind is open, I'm just not going to get my hopes up on anything just yet. :mokken: As more information is released, I can make more assumptions based on the information and the wonderful confines of logic. :griin:

I'm just going to leave these here. :wacky:

No word on if you can be a werewolf or not yet. But more importantly, I want to ride those fucking dragons. :mokken:
