Immunisations

I don't like needles. I soon need to get my meningitus shot at school... Guess who's not bringing home his permission slip to show his parents >.>

The friggin' swine flu immunization was enough to make my arm numb and I don't want a fawkin' needle in my arm anytime soon. I do bet that my flu shot is coming up soon though. =_=

Immunization, it's a total waste of time. I was forced to do it for the first time at around 17 and never got any major sicknesses before or afterwards. Eat healthy, exercise, and stay away from sick people and you can get through just about anything.

There is NO REASON not to get immunized. When I got the MMR vaccine a few years ago it was a series of 3 shots- but it is good for life after that.

TTT is spot on, there is no link between vaccines and autism - none at all. Not one true scientific study showed a correlation let alone a causal link.

Rasputin you are a dope for saying this:
Immunization, it's a total waste of time.
You clearly don't understand what immunizations do if you believe this.

You didn't get any of the diseases afterwards because you were immunized against them, as for prior you were probably not exposed to settings where they are commonly found. Just look at the meningitis outbreaks in universities a few years ago.

The reason almost no one has polio anymore is because of vaccines, same with small pox etc... if people previously had taken your stance on vaccines those ailments would still be threats to all of us.

I think I'm up to date.

Can't remember how often I'm meant to get certain shots.

I'll have to go back to the doctors and ask to see if I'm behind on anything.

You'd think they'd send you a letter or something if you needed a new shot? Hope they do. >.<

There's no substantive evidence of a link between immunizations and autism. It's not that it's "crazy," it's that it's been categorically disproven. But, your kid, your choice.
I don't quite think it's been disproven yet (things in science can hardly ever be proven absolutely) but I'm sure it's one of those things where there's a substantial cache of evidence to support that it does not cause autism.
Immunization, it's a total waste of time.
Someone doesn't understand basic immunology :wacky:

EDIT:
Forgot to say I've had my MMR and all of the ones in school, minus the tuberculosis jag. If there's a TB outbreak I'm fucked. Gonnae get my winter flu jag next week.

EDIT 2:
"Immunisation is a total waste of time"
Feel like I need to further comment on that asking do you think your immune system is a waste of time? :wacky: Due to memory cells in your immune system your response to secondary exposure to a virus/disease is much higher and faster than the first, hence giving you an inactive form of that virus/disease (an immunisation) allows for your secondary response to be your first real response. In short if you catch TB without having had your TB jag...well, good luck.

The only shot I think I ever got was when I was. . .3.
I hate medication and I had shots. I don't like any kind of chemical in my body, especially since in those secrets-are-out books they can tell you hidden stuff they put in some vaccines that can make your system just plain crash. I hardly ever get sick, so I don't bother with that kind of stuff.

I think I'm missing just one. But I'm pretty good when it comes to colds and like sicknesses. The other week the whole dang house got a cold, but I was the first to recover. I honestly don't get sick much anymore. Maybe once a year. This is the best I've felt in years. So I don't know when or if I'm getting the last shot.

I believe I am all up to date on my immunizations...

I havent been UBER sick in a long while... I'm going to have to ask my mommy when I need more shots though :O Because I honestly have NO idea. But I feel just fine!
