Multiple Platforms Mass Effect 2

I JUST beat Mass Effect 2 on the PC. Hopefully Mass Effect 3 will come out soon, and on the PC so I can port my Shepherd over. I was kind of sad that I couldn't port my Shepherd from the first Mass Effect onto this game since I played it on the 360, but it was still awesomesauce. :awesome:

This next bit is going to be in spoiler tags because there's some of it I'm not sure would count as spoilers.

For you guys who got that far in the game, who did you decide to pursue a relationship with? I chose to go ahead with Tali. I was actually pretty disappointed when I found out that she wasn't an option in the first game. I found her to be the most interesting choice, though I was thoroughly disappointed during the short "love scene" because you couldn't see what she looked like under her suit.

Also, was I the only one who became attached to the minor crew members, like Kelly, those two engineers, and even that nameless guy who sits in the crew's quarters with that nameless female crew member. Half of my crew died when they were abducted by the Collectors, and I even saw Kelly die right in front of me. I was like, "Awww. I liked her. D="

I don't think I cared so much for the minor crew members in the first Mass Effect.

Apparently, Microsoft insists that the ultimate Mass Effect experience is on the 360 since Mass Effect 1 is -definitely- a 360 exclusive.

Not entirely true since Mass Effect 1 is also available on PC (and that version is arguably superior to the Xbox 360) but I guess the gist of it is that Playstation 3 owners won't be getting the same experience as Xbox 360 owners and it's hard to argue against that.

I choose to pursue a romance with
Tali
too and was disappointed when
you didn't get to see her face
. That was kinda what I was hoping for when I picked her, and if I'd known that it wouldn't happen, I probably would have gone with
Miranda
instead. But I guess that's what replays are for :sup:

I too really enjoyed the banter in the engine room. Anyone else thinks that the scottish chief engineer is a tribute of sorts to Start Trek?

Apparently the PS3 gets the DLC and introduction content to recap over Mass Effect as well as some other stuff [possibly]. I have heard people express concerns that if Mass Effect 3 is on the PS3 that EA will want to make it an "equal experience" so will make the decisions in Mass Effect almost redundant.

I doubt the "equal experience" thing will happen. Obviously the events in Mass Effect 2 will take precedence, but there are things that happened in ME1 which will be very hard not to address in the 3rd game. Besides, they've already said that if you chose to pursue a new romantic interest in ME2, your old girlfriend from ME1 will likely not be too happy in ME3 hehe.

For those of you wondering what Tali may look like under the suit, allow me to point you in the direction of my wallpaper.

Yeah, instantly upon playing this game I was interested in Tali. She seemed to me to be the most interesting choice. As I got to know her character, I could easily see that she's my type of woman.

All in all, this game is pretty great. Especially on the PC, seeing as how you don't get the somewhat watered down graphics that you do on the consoles.

Not what I imagined quarians to look like at all to be honest. From what little of quarian anatomy you can deduct from their physical stature with the long skinny limbs, the slightly weird legs, 3 fingered/clawed hands, and 2 pronged feet, it just wouldn't make sense for them to look so human.

It's an interpretation of course and it's very nicely done, but personally I just can't imagine quarians looking like that.

Indeed, I didnt imagine Tali to look human. Not what I imagened. But hey, pretty pic.

I cant complete Overlord, its driving me mad. Im onto the third station and cant get past the blasters and shields. Damn geth!! I want to get Overlord completed so I can continue the game.

I pictured her looking somewhat human, but with harder skin. Quarians are supposed to have harder skin than humans. :hmmm: However, I dare say I love this picture. I can't bring myself to change my background. :gasp:

Tali is now my waifu. O_O

Discussion about Tali's face has becoming something of a meme online...

Anyways...I've been playing this again recently. Done every loyalty mission asides Tali's (saving that for when I have Legion, because the fuss is causes if you take him on it is awesome) and Thane's, which I'll do later. In a relationship with Miranda this time, full Renegade again, and I've done a lot more scanning than usual...probe launching...launching probe...probe away...
