XBox The Official Halo Reach Thread

Hey Busta what do you think of the new Reach trailer? I cant wait to play with you in that man! Its gonna be so fun. Just watch the trailer! I hope you are gonna buy it Lol. Btw Im sick of COD for now dude. Im sure you will buy it. Btw the beta is on the 3rd of May if you wanna try the multiplayer early.
 
I actually haven't seen the trailer yet, Sarah. I'll have to check it out real quick. Is Reach like a whole new game in the Halo series, or just a spin-off like ODST and Halo Wars was?
 
Busta lol Its on the 2 nd page I posted it like 2 days ago xD its a whole new game in the series. The next halo 3 people call it but its the beggining of halo. Reach is the beggininng when all the spartans and covenant were fighting. So yeah its gonna be the next big multiplayer thing Busta. Plus all new campaign
 
Personally I feel Bungee are just grinding out Halo titles now because they are still making a decent turnover out of them, Halo didnt feel right after halo 3 and I really disliked the RTS as well, Halo 4 personally just feels like another grind out to keep the microsoft money train rolling and keep the 360 exclusive fans satisfied.

AMEN, the first Halo was the best IMO, man so much fun with that one, I dont even own a Xbox or Xbox360, but if my brother from another mother buys the game, yay I will play it fo sho though.
 
Finally, now everyone could be equal in this game,unlike halo 3, with that system going to 50,made me sick to hell. If you click on the link above me,you will get a big info about reach and perhaps more understanding to bungie when they make these games.

But not only that, the gameplay will own, and there will be way many more armor permutations.
 
I'm not sure I understand. They say they're taking the Ranking system out of Reach and doing an entirely different Ranking system? I liked the ranking system they had. Though I couldn't get to 50, I didn't deserve to be there because, quite frankly, I'm terrible at the game. Does this mean I'm going to be stuck playing with people who will eat me for breakfast via 360?

you dont have to play competitive,play with friends online and enjoy the game,besides,reach looks more fair if you read the article in the link. In halo 3,i was so good at first but then i sucked so bad,i was 5 levels away from general.

I read most of the article, but didn't really get what they were trying to say. Anyway, having fun playing online shouldn't mean that I'm limited to playing with friends. If the game really wants to be fair, shouldn't it match me up with people who are roughly equivalent to my own skill level? Isn't that what it was doing before?

Unless I'm mistaken on what is exactly going on here--and I may very well be (in fact I expect that I am)--it seems kind of weird to say "If you don't want to take the chance of playing against people who will maim you in three seconds, you'd better stay offline."
 
Wow. It's weird they'll be getting rid of the traditional rank system that Halo has used for it's past games, but I'm not sure how well this will be received. It may seem awkward at first, but overtime it'll grow on people.

It will give those who play this game non-stop though, a chance to be seen as hardcore and a true Halo fan, even if they couldn't get the 50 before. I got my 50 in Halo 3, but it took a lot of hardcore gaming one night with 3 friends. It's too much stress to go for it and achieve it for a lot of people and once you lose soo many games in a set playlist, it seems almost impossible to ever get that 50.

well,i admit that cant be helped, the easiest way is having a team of friends for team slayer(dont get random player team its a lame idea),for free for all your on your own,wheter you win is random,even against higher skilled players.

Sounds like crap to me. I really see no point in removing the ranking system, other than the fact that maybe it frustrated players because they couldn't be ZOMG TEH BEST!!!!, which is a dumb reason to take it out.

I'll have to do some more investigation into the game, though, since a couple of my friends (who aren't even really into Halo) showed much interest in this installment.

For me,i feel kinda good that its gone,imo it was too nerdy(even if i was a 45), and nerds buy 50 accounts to show off,they also boost for skill,which makes me sick.its still going on a lot,for sure something similar will be in reach to buy accounts and credit boost now,but the credits is more freedom,its like call of duty now,which is good.
 
I do have to say that it was screwed up that people would actually go online or however it was done to purchase accounts that had reached the "50" in a set playlist, just to "showoff" that they have one. My brother-in-law had gotten a few accounts to 45's and he sold them on eBay for around $20 each. He took advantage of people's stupidity I think, and I think it serves them right. I was glad he made $$ off of it, and I think the people that bought them are retarded.

I hope there's not a lot of glitches and bugs and boosting that will take place when the game is released, but there always seems to be some way around the system in these games. Someone will try to ruin the legit way of playing.
 
are you gonna play this game more then modern warfare 2 busta?

if you will,i presume your gang will come along,seriously this game is gonna own modern warfare 2.this is more of a freedom game,screw the ranks,buyin armor by winning battles and gettin credits,and playin the game like this is the way.any mode will do to rank u up.
 
MLG is just bad. It makes peoples life go away. Like in halo 3 in the playlist lobbys there can be so many nerds who just swear at you for no reason. Im glad ALL THAT SHIT is gone. Also West if you had a 47 in Lone wolves like me and were a 1 in snipers you would face boosters. Like level 1s who are actually 50's in reality. But Man this game is gonna be so awesome. Busta this is gonna be really fun to play man! Better then COD really. I love halo. The gameplay and the story. Also the DMr looks like it will bring a new game rather then stupid br clashes. The br is getting taken out for good. It was not developped till halo 2. Oh and credits to buy armor and ranking up whatever mode you play will MAKE IT FAIR FOR EVERYONE!! No stupid race till 50 anymore thank god. But ya I believe there will be lots of credits boosters. Also the fact of more armor permutations(MUCH MORE) makes me happy!
 
I'm curious as to see how much the armor really helps and all. Will it be that the more armor you get, protects you more from damage, or certain weapons? Then the game is seeming more like a Action-RPG in a way with equipment making your character/Spartan/Elite more resistant to opposition.

Otherwise, I think it will give everyone a fair chance to enjoy the game to it's fullest, but also take away from the God-like great Halo players who use that top rank to show off how good they are to others.
 
How did i forget to mention that,mlg!

I swear,reach will make your day boring if you always see and go against mlgs,they make me sick to hell,some are not even mlgs and they put MLG on their gamertag, it stands for major league gaming but it really stands for my life gone right?^ their creepy nerds that have no life. Most of them are eventually hackers so watch out if you lose on them,they will message and send u threats.
