K, Ive been thinking for a good while to get a PS3. There are only 2 reasons I want it and they are Little Planet and Heavy Rain. Ive noticed there arent many RPGs for the PS3 and if the ones out are already on XBox and I have them, so no point getting them again. Also I would love to play my PS1 and PS2 games on it, but Ive been told thats not possible.

So basically is it worth me getting for 2 awesome games?? They arent cheap consoles, so help please lol XD

Unfortunately the current PS3 models aren't backwards compatible, so you're going to have to keep your PS2 for the old PSone and PS2 games. I would have liked Sony to keep it before having to swap between consoles to be able to play old games is a bother.

I've lost track of what GB models are available to buy now and I know the most expensive one has a 250GB HDD. I think the other one is the 120GB one. If you're worried about the price, go for the 120 GB one or whatever is the cheapest one.

I'll say it will be absolutely worth it to buy a PS3. Heavy Rain and Little Big Planet are great games, but there are more out there as well as more to come, such as Gran Turismo 5, the Uncharted series, Ratchet and Clank series, White Knight Chronicles, Valkyria Chronicles, etc.

EDIT: Oh yes, there's PSN too.

I have both and fins myself using the xbox more, even for game sI have on both consoles. Although this may be a personal feeling, I prefer the controller.
However as above, there are a number of really good exclusives for the PS3, Ratchet and Clank, if its as good as i remember the first ones being will be excellent, Little Big Planet, as you have already mentioned, is extremely addictive and i have found myself playing online levels on that game for hours on end.
The only other thing is I tend to download a few games from the PSN store, for example before I had the psp, I got FF7, and FF8 is meant to be released this month, but this is irrelevant if you already have the disks and a PS2.
There's what I have to say :D

In terms of exclusives it's definitely worth it, I'd personally say it has the best exclusives out of all the 7th Gen Consoles with the likes of Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, God of War etc all leading the way, but then it depends entirely on what type of games you like to play.

I'm going to presume that your Xbox 360 will still remain your primary console, however, you could save $50/60 a year on LIVE Gold fees (if you pay them) with PSN because even though you may get all the multiplatform games for the 360, any online ones you could buy for the PS3 and play online for free :monster:

And you never know, you may love your PS3 and adbandon your 360 :wacky:

I really only play my xbox more because of MW2, saying the ps3 doesnt have any great RPGs is extremely wrong, you have demon souls, white knight chronicles, Valkyria, not to mention star ocean international and FFXIII (unless you love disc swapping between areas), and as for Exclusives, you have god of war 3, as you mentioned, Heavy Rain, LBP, but also several games are better on the ps3, lets face it, the 360's d-pad is that great when you need to switch items in RPGs, so, its realy for more than just games, oh, and 3D dot game heroes is a ps3 exclusive thats coming out, not to mention Mod nation racers, so its only logical your gonna get a lot more

Well I would. The PS3 doesn't have as many bugs as the 360 or so I haven't heard whereas the 60 would constantly be repaired. I liked a lot of the games on the PS3 maybe later down on the road if you do decide ta get it you will probably expand your horizons on the games because they have pretty damn good games IMO. Xbox makes you pay however, the ps3 is free as far as the internet-o etc goes. As for you wanting ta play your p21 and 2 games I think you can do for some ps2 however i'm not sure about ps1.(if I recall you have ta download/update something) Although if you wanted, you could buy FF VII and VIII through the PSN and play the game from your ps3.

I never said that, I just said there wasnt many on the PS3. Ive decided that once I get a job Im going to get a PS3. I cant part with any other consoles towards getting it, I just cant do it lol XD I wish Id gotten it when I was employed, was going to, but for some dumb reason was scared!?!?!

I've been thinking about getting a PS3, but I want a lot more games on there than you do. Ratchet and Clank (there are 2 on the PS3, right?), LittleBigPlanet, Motorstorm, Uncharted 1 and 2.

If there is one thing that the PS3 has that the 360 severely lacks, it is good platformers. The 360 is basically limited to Kameo and Banjo Kazooie(sp?). The PS3 has LittleBigPlanet, the Ratchet and Clanks, which are along enough to shoot the PS3 well over the 360 in that category.

And free online. The main reasons I got a 360 instead of a PS3 is that PS3s were extremely expensive at the time, and I knew very few people who had a 360.
