Doctor Who

Shit I hope it's repeated, I didnt even know there was one on other than the crimbo special ]:

I can get that on my Wii!!! I was looking at it oin the Wii Shopping channel yesterday thinking nahhh i dont need that I might download it then I can watch it big 8F

It was pretty good
the Doctor having a sudden case of God complex was interesting
. Went a little unsteady in the final stretch as a lot was happening in such a short space of time but it was good on the whole. If I were to grade it, I'd say it was a B/B+ episode.

The first part of End Of Time airs on Christmas Day and the second part, which sees the Tenth Doctor regenerate into the Eleventh one, is shown on New Year's Eve. So I hope everyone gets their tissues at the ready since it's going to be an emotional time! :gasp:

Oooooh The Masters back and Donna too!! /has only just seen the xmas trailer

Aside from the iplayer being an ARSE and making it stop and do some loady shit lots, i really enjoyed taht episode, il try to catch a repeat at some point though so i can enjoy it properly

The Doctor has always had that Darkside- it's just that DT hasn't really shown it on his incarnation, through no fault of his own. That's why it was so shocking when it appeared. It was definitely there when we had the Ecclestone!Who incarnation. And previous Doctors have also had it. But Tennant!Who has been through so much, he's sort of lost his edge. He's got it back now though, and it's just a shame that he'd a)gone through so much to get it and b) get ahold of it so close to the end of his WhoReign.

Did anyone see that wee clip type thing on Children In Need?

EDIT: Oh and
a BLONDE John Simm? How weird does that look?

So to everyone, particularly in the UK, the Christmas specials are coming! The first is on Christmas Day and the second on New Year's Eve. If anyone's seen the trailer, I believe these could be the biggest Doctor Who episodes we could ever see. And since David Tennant's going out with a bang, you might as well tune in. Nothing's going to stop me from doing exactly that. xD

On the other hand,
a blond Master
makes me giggle. :wacky:

The whole Time Lord Victorious thing was excellent writing. The rest of the episode wasn't that great, but the ending really did make up for it.

And my theory about The Master returning was right in the end. I hope they decide to make him The Doctor's assistant for the new series, but I'm not that hopeful.

Very looking forward to this :D This will make my crimbo, brilliant cast line up. But as soon as Matt Smith puts in an apperance, Im turning over. Dont care if John Barrowman plants one on him, Im changing channels. John Simm, SQUEE!!!!!

Last night's episode:

A whole planet of John Simms! Argh! There's something amusingly twisted abut a plan like that. Hard to judge last night's episode, it felt like one big episode of set-up really, and the tone was a bit odd, with stuff like the Doctor getting groped by a randy old lady mixing it with rather melancholy talk of regeneration and dying. But John Simm was enjoyably demented, and I can't wait to see Timothy Dalton in the next part.

John Simm and David Tennant were fantastic in it, but sadly it was poorly written I thought. I love the idea of Time Lords returning (James Bond as a Time Lord? Yes please), but I'm really worried about how it will come about. I hope it isn't like how they've repeatedly written in the Daleks again because 'one survived the Time War'.

It was pretty good, quite surprising really, was nowhere near what I expected. Dalton is a cool addition, though couldn't help but notice the amount of spit coming out his mouth when he spoke xD Simm is golden, simple as that. Awesome as The Master. The best yet, actually. He and Tennant are great together.

Feel it would've been better if the second part was on the day after or later on in the evening, rather than having to wait a week for it. Seems abit odd the way the episode was set up like that, just for it to take a week to show the second part, which by then the 1st ep will not be fresh in the mind.

Looking forward to it though. And I doubt it'll be like the Daleks with "1 surviving." The Doctor has done something to cause it methinks, but what?

An excellent episode, much better than The Waters Of Mars.

A planet full of John Simms is indeed a nightmare! Loved to see how Donna was back and still her old self, but she remembers everything now! Surely, she can't die? I was happy to see Wilf as well since there's something about him that I love and can't quite put my finger on it.

The old woman groping him ... haha, would've loved it if it were me. :wacky:

And now with what's happened, it makes me wonder how the Doctor will REALLY die and regenerate into the Eleventh Doctor. It's something they've been keeping very secret. However, there IS Wilf and the guy, too.

I can see The Doctor and Master allying. Then, something will happen for The Doctor to think The Master is trying to kill him, so The Doctor kills The Master, only to realise that he was trying to protect him. Something along those lines. As for what causes Tennant to die and Smith to arise, I can't really think of anything to speculate.

I think The Doctor will end up having to go into the machine to reverse the effect of what The Master has done, and the energy it takes for that will cause him to regenerate.

I'm still hoping that The Master will be written in as the next assistant, but I'm not that optimistic. Two Time Lords travelling together would be awesome.

Having The Doctor and the Master travelling together would be epic, but it won't happen since they've already got another female assistant alongside Matt Smith's Eleventh Doctor. You could be on to something there with the Doctor having to go in the machine to reverse what the Master's done. Whatever the case, the machine should be involved in the next episode.

And I hear the old companions, those from the series four finales well over a year ago, are coming back. Now I was slightly excited of the prospect of Rose, Martha, Mickey and everyone else returning again, but now I'm not so sure. I think it's just fine with just Donna and Wilf back.

Well. I blubbed for the best part of half an hour. When he said he didnt want to go just before he changed I was like :gonk:

The Master was awesome too

i think i preferred christopher ecclestones exit more though

Not sure what i think of this new guy either :rage:

I WEPT!!! I FUCKING WEPT!!!
It was so sweet how he said goodbye to everyone, but I wanted Donna to see him before he departed :( Wilfred crying had me going and I thought he was going to die aswell!! I think that woman who Wilfred always seen and was behind Dalton was the Docs mum if thats possible. Timothy Dalton was kick ass as was the hot John Simm ^^

Matt Smith is not my cuppa tea, so Im not taking this so well ... *wails*

Sooo, it turns out that The Master did help The Doctor in the end. Oh, and what happened to The Master after he electrocuted the Time Lord leader?
