# of playable characters?

Just to set the record straight there is six characters you can play as right? I read this somewhere so I only want to confirm this nao...

1 lightning
2 chocobo bush guy
3 snow
4 that girl with pigtails
5 Hope
6 and that lady with the accent in the trailers who I can only describe as blue and mannish...

All of these characters summons were listed so I figured that they were the six playable characters in ff13. Am I right?

from what has been shown so far, yes you are right.
However.
Cid Raines was not put on the cacoon section of the main site, meaning he may be a playable character..

As far as what is already confirmed, there are six main playable characters:

+Lightning
+Snow Villiers
+Sazh Katzroy (afro guy with chocobo)
+Oerba Dia Vanille (pig-tails girl)
+Hope Estheim
+Oerba Yun Fang

(we have to assume that the two Oerbas are from the same clan or tribe)

And you're right about the Eidolons.

And you're right about the Eidolons.

This pretty much answers the question, and like she's said, like Maesters in FFX you have to presume that the "Oerba's" are in the same tribe. But like the second post said, Cid Raines may also be a possibility since he's seperated from the rest of the Sanctum members and placed with the main characters alongside Serah. All being said, Cid Raines and Serah are probably going to be guest characters at the very most.
