I am just going to type up the article from the magazine in reading.
if you dont believe me, go to the store and buy "bizzare", the newest issue came out today, it has aria giovanni as the cover girl..
neways down to it

"Pine-ing TO DIE
Suicidal guy "tree"-tops himself

A couple where on a woodland walk in Bruckberg, South Germany, when they spotted a decomposing arm in the bushes. Sabastian Gunther and Stefanie Bauer, both 20, took a photo and checked thier grisly find with the local vet, who said the remains hadnt come from a animal. Police where called and officers discovered a hip fitted with two artifical joints rotting in the shrubbery too, and began to dig for a body...Before they realised it was hanging above there heads.
It turned out a man called Paul Ludwig had decided to commit suicide in 1980 after being diagnosed with cancer. Leaving a note reading "dont look for me, you wont find me," the 69-year-old climbed a 40ft fir tree (Despite hisdouble hip replacment), tied himself to its branches, and blew his own brains out. Police believe that the ropes restraining his decomposing body got tighter as the pine grew, eventually severing his putrid limbs, which fell to the forest floor. Timber!, or should we say limber?.

there is only one picture in the magazine, of the tree, after he was taken away, but ill try and find some on the nets

Climbing a 40 feet tree with a hip replacement, that's pretty badass. Well I suppose people would prefer suicide over a slow cancerous demise. Though I guess the couple's not going on anymore peaceful walks for a while.

Hmm. Not really disturbing. People commit suicide all the time in a great variety of ways. This year a kid at my school hung himself with a Nintendo cord... I can understand this mans reasoning tho, but to an extent. Weather they caught his cancer too late or not would have been helpful info.

yeah, id rather suicide than die of any diesise.. lol "climbing 40th with hip replacments is pretty badass" made me lawl irl

That's only sickening because of the fact he's been there for 29 years. :wacky:
Surely though people must have been able to smell it before that though? I mean as far as I'm aware a decomposing body is supposed to smell vile. It'd be shit scary just seeing an arm in the bush. :wacky:
Although it'd be amusing if he got out of the bush and walked away >.>

thats the bit i thought was sick... the fact he was tyed up a tree for nerly 30 years, a 100 year old body =/ ... n yes they smelll vile, but smell goes with the wind, and generally rises, so when its already roughly 35-32 ft above anyones nose height

I almost shit myself reading this article, because I thought it was a murder and my bedroom door opened because of the wind, I was like OH SHIT!

But Meglo said, climbing a 40 ft tree with a hip replacement is pretty badass. But if you saw a decomposing hand in a tree, wouldn't you like freak out and try to look for the rest? I mean if I saw a hand in a tree I'd freak out not take pictures. >_>

Tbh I'd rather die of cancer than an hero up a tree. Cancer patients get all kinds of powerful painkillers which to me sounds a lot more fun than walking through a forest and then climbing a tree.
I'm still highly skeptical as to how he climbed 40 feet up a tree whilst carrying a rope and a shotgun.

Nothing fun about having cancer at all, its a horrible disease that puts the person infected through a nightmare of an ordeal.
That being said though, i wouldnt take my life either.
69 year old whos had a a double hip replacement climbs a 40ft tree....all that only to jump off again -_- what a fool, if hes that tough he shoulda tried to fight the cancer. Although i believe it was near impossible back then to catch it.

Ugh that's pretty gross, how can no one have found it in all them years? and the SMELL. Ew.... I lie to climb trees aswel, Id of been traumatised for LIFE inding that

Sure the dude had cancer, and it was his life to do what he wanted with it, but if he was gunna kill himself, he coulda done it somewhere more private...although, I guess it WAS private if he hadnt been discovered for 30 odd years...if its true that is.....buit still the risk of being found by unsuspecting passers by was always gunna be there and its abit selfish, dying of cancer or not, he could have just done i t at home -_-

Other people have had to clear up his rotting remains

Nice -_-
