Despite the ongoing Golden Week holiday in Japan, during which news traditionally grinds to a halt, Square Enix Japan has opened a deeply intriguing teaser site.
Titled simply "NEW GAME" with the URL "mystery", the page displays a blasted, futuristic New York City skyline with a thought-provoking quote by US President John F. Kennedy: "The world is very different now, for man holds in his mortal hands the power to abolish all forms of human poverty and all forms of human life". There is nothing else -- no date, no title, no countdown.
Gaming newshounds will likely recognize the image from the latest issue of OXM, the official North American Xbox 360 magazine. The issue clearly states that OXM will reveal the title -- widely assumed to be a new Front Mission game -- next month. Perhaps we won't have very long to wait for the answer to this "mystery" at all.

It could be (and probably is) the new Front Mission game, but I wouldn't be overly surprised if it was something completely new either, or perhaps yet another game in the Parasite Eve franchise? With 3rd Birthday on the way for the PSP, I could see that series return to the consoles as well.
