Anyways I recently watched all of Cloud's date in the Gold Saucer on youtube and I was wondering who you got Cloud to take out for a date when you played FFVII.

I'm just going to say this now. We do NOT discuss CloudxAerith, CloudxTifa, who Cloud loved or ANYTHING in regards to the LTD. This thread is going to be closely watched as I can easily see it being turned into one of those threads. If it even remotely comes close to turning into an LTD thread, it will be closed and archived. We do not allow the LTD to be discussed here anymore as it leads to tension amongst the members, flaming, pointless arguing and fighting.
In my game, Cloud took out Aerith. I have heard that you could take out Tifa, and even somehow take out Barret but I have never heard that you can take out Yuffie. 
Thats really weird, I wonder how you are able to take her out on a date. Considering if I remember right it all has to do with how nice you are with each character. And you can only get Yuffie right before Junon, and that isnt a lot of time to be nice to her.

I know I got Tifa the very first time, and usually her in subsequent play throughs. Although I got Aerith that one time. Aerith's date was interesting because it forshadows the whole Cloud-assumes-Zack personality thing we find out much later.
When I play FFVII again, I'll aim for Yuffie or Barret just for lulz since I haven't already xD
But it would be hard, since there's not a lot of time to increase Yuffie's affection between the earliest time you can recruit her and the date at Gold Saucer or whatever, and Barret, well, it's Barret xD

I just got Cloud to date Aerith, I wouldn't mind trying to get the date with the others (particularly Barret for a larf), but I have no idea which variables change who you go on a date with. Maybe I'll look it up in a guide or something : /

My first play through of FFVII I got Aerith like most people. Mainly since I didn't know there was a formula that determins who you get. Since people like to talk to everyone their first play through you tend to get Aerith since she has the highest desposition.

My first playthrough, I got Tifa. I seemed to take more of a shione to her at first, although Aerith grew on me, by then it was too lte becasue Id already done the necessary shit (without realising) to get Tifa on the date. After that it's been Aerith everytime, it's just an unconcious thing now, I cant bring myself to be mean to her anymore - plus Im a raving Clerith.... xD
I took Aerith first, and when I tried to get Yuffie I got Tifa instead. I know there is a particular way to manipulate the affection scores to get Yuffie, but my strategy was to be as mean to Aerith as possible, as I knew she was the most likely to appear. To this day I have never managed to get Yuffie, which is a shame as hers is the most entertaining (although wrecking the play and pissing off Aerith is pretty funny O_O) I never wanted the Barret one, as there is something wrong with a boy having his pick of three ladies and spending quality time with the angry, buff, gunarmed guy instead.
To get Yuffie you have to be mean to both Tiffa AND Aerith. Barret's a challenge since his rating is basicaly non-existent to start with. Besides how is getting Barret worse then Cloud who's 21 going out with a 16 year old. If he did that in rl he'd be locked up.

I actually got all of them - it took me playing the game a few times but I did. So I voted for what I like the most: Tifa
But to note: Yuffie is rather funny at the end and is the only character (if you get to date her) who will kiss Cloud. But he stays silent and then she edges him to at least say 'something' ... so that was what he did. He simply said "Something" and got punched too.
... Call me oblivious or naive but what does 'LTD' mean?

LTD - Love Triangle Debate. Basically, due to the some what ambiguous character relationships in the original FFVII game, it's the age old argument/debate on which woman Cloud loved more: Aerith or Tifa

I took Barret out on the date. I used a walkthrough to get the date, I really really wanted to see it, and so I got it, it was pretty funny

I got Aerith on my first play through, then Tifa on my second. I voted for Tifa since that's the one I liked more

yeah that's exactly what i did. when i played ff7 i thought that it was important to talk to everybody to learn as much as possible but i guess at the same time i was making a relationship with aeris and so that's why i got the date with her

Aerith it just happened, XD I hated that when it first happened then I grew to like Aerith and I was cool with it ^^

Buh? No. All the dates happen at the same point in the story. Your answers to various questions, prompts, etc. determines which one is selected.
I normally ended up taking Tifa out on the date, i never really knew how to change who cloud took out on a date, and i never really played attention or cared who was on the date with cloud
I ended up with Tifa. :] I didn't really use Aerith in batte... and while I tried to be nice to both of the girls, I probably ended up screwing some of Aerith and Tifa's answers, and Aerith's affection couldn't really be redeemed in battle... OuO;;;
I wouldn't have minded getting Yuffie's date. >< Though from what I understand, you have to be somewhat mean the other girls, right? Since Yuffie's affection starts signifacantly lower compared to theirs and all. I may very well be mistaken, though. xDDD;;;;
