Does everyone like Edward better than Lestat after reading twilight!

I have searched the web and noticed that people are liking Edward Cullen the Sparkly vampire better than Lestat.I am reading Vampire Chronicles and Lestat is an awesome character and is better than Edward because he can be at brat and a bit of a meanie but he isnt like Edward.

So i want your opinion do you like Lestat still or you love the new sparkly vampire Edward Cullen

Olawl, that is what this topic made me do. xD Honestly, Bambi is right. I don't see how anybody can judge, especially when they haven't read the books or seen the movie. Just because a vampire 'looks' more ancient doesn't mean they're automatically better. Quite honestly, I'd say Lestat is more tortured and whiny than Edward is.

I would have to say the same here. All in all, it seems like a pretty pointless topic to bring up when you don't know the character you're arguing about.

Lestat is a better character. Edward is more like Louis but Louis is alsoa better character.

Erm....I've always liked Lestat and really nothing is going to change that.
Edward is just....not the type of vampire I like really, I mean yeah he's sweet but I suppose too many people have fallen for him way too quickly for my liking.
Maybe in the end I like them both equally.

Lestat is more how i would percieve a vampire to be, but whom i find more boring due to his character possesing the stereotypical views of how vampires are usually described. I find that Edward piques at my interest due to him behaving in ways i would not expect; and after reading Stephenie Meyers first draft of midnight sun, prefer him even more so to Lestat than i did in Twilight itself.
