FFX-2 Love it or Hate it

ugh I hated this game. The dress sphere thing was a failed idea. I still played it though lol but I wouldn't really recommend it

Dresspheres didnt fail, it was the Garment Grids that failed. Pointless, and the power ups were kinda...well, I never noticed them.

I've been playing a fair whack of it recently and I've grown to love it like any other Final Fantasy. It lacks the 'Oh, I'm going to epic your socks right off' kind of vibe but, still, it's enjoyable, simply, gripping, full of as many twists and turns as any other game and, all round, it makes for a good playing experience.

i liked the story line... the job systems were good, but, the thing i hated about x-2 is having to get percentage done in the game to get to see a certain ending! and that the good ending kinda is weird :/

Well it is kinda frustrating for me at the moment actually. I ended up quitting around 2006 when I got up to Via Infinito at 89%.

I gave up trying to get past CHAC. He was just a pain in the butt so I moved onto other things and have been too afraid to go back since =0

I loved it, a refreshing game play with the time-turn based gameplay. It worked great, sometimes irritating but most of the time, if you had the right strategy(not that you needed that alot) you could fire alot before your opponent could even start.

The Garment Grids were a bit of a dissappointment... i mean who switches that much from dresssphere during a fight? a fight doesnt even take that long unless your fighting bosses. I only used the grid with the 2 spheres so you could use the Special Dresspheres fast.

Some awesome minigames like the coin game(been a while i forgot the name) Shinra was a real challenge to get lady luck but that was fun. Too bad they ruined Blitz ball as a 2d manager game, if they added blitz they should have done it like X.

Story line could be better i guess because now i had the feeling different stories went through eachother.... you had the, oooh search for tidus thing. And you got the: Save the world from shuying story... and they didnt match up. You didnt heared alot about tidus in the games just in the beginning, few times in the middle when she thinks shuyin is tidus and if you got a perfect ending.... but it's not the main subject...

considering everything i still stay with a 8.5 for the game just because i couldnt stay away from it

Well so far I love X-2 am at 50 percent and I want to get all the endings plus the secret 100 percent ending. I must say its great to have levels back instead of sphere levels. The garment grid is okay. I Thought it was a good addition to ffx-2. I want to get all the dresspheres also. What I do not like is that enemies attack you if you do nothing.

ffx-2 love it or hate it?

I played FFX and really loved it, and FFXI is certainly as good as FFXI. What's a bit regrettably about it, is that you've only got Yuna, Rikku and Payne. Though you meet Kimahri, Wakka and Lulu (and Tidus, wich is the whole story of FFXI about).
What I think is way much better is the 'active and wait mode'.
Sorry for the bad english, but I'm trying my best:$

Fv,

It used to be my favorite game. But this was the first Final Fantasy I have ever played. X-2 actually got me into the FF series. After playing the other FFs I liked this game less and less. I never actually did like the story, it's so poor and characters who were once likable turned into complete crap. This game is garbage compared to FFX, or any of the other ones for that matter

I played X-2 before X and like it made no sense to me o_O
I like it. It was a good game not the best, but still good. I liked the whole idea of the garment grid and the dressphere thing. Thought that was neat.
It was entertaining and I like the side missions and things like that. To me I enjoyed more of that then what the actually storyline was about. (if that makes any sense) Although the game sequel was pretty useless tbh. Okay great you joined the Gull wings to try and find Tidus and with the whole
alternate-endings
thing, it made it weird :/ imo.

But I enjoy playing the game :awesome:

I really like this game. I remember playing it all the time, day in and day out. Until I got stuck, and then of course, as most other games. It ended up on at the end of my shelf.

game was ok but the class system wasnt really my kind of thing for a rpg game. it had good characters, they made yuna wear clothes that were too skimpy, they should've put more clothes on her. it didn't match her personality from the first one. i forgot how long pass from the first one, but she had a totally diferent feel to her in the second one

I loved this game.

It has a lot of good stuff, I never truly understood why people hate.

The combat system was one of the better I played with, allowing job changes in combat was very useful, as well as having additional stats by switching jobs using the grid.

Another thing I found interesting, was the use of AoE spells with spells that were normally single target.

For example, attacking all enemies with Firega or something.
Healing your full party with Curaga.

The seriously, the story was not that bad, I've seen worse. Much worse.

Plenty of people have given reasons, have you not seen them?

I can list a few, which is obviously how I feel as well:

- Only having 3 playable characters. Er, what's with that? How about variety? Gets a bit boring after a while.
- Too easy - only real difficulty lied with the optional quests. Well, ones like Angra Mainyu, and Via Infinito.
- Everything was too sidequesty. Not enough fulfilling missions.
- They ruined Blitzball.
- If you're not a die hard Yuna fan, or Tidus/Yuna fan, you probably won't think much to the endings.
- Not a lot of people liked Sphere Break...
- Yeah, filler material. Seemed convenient Vegnagun was hidden for like so long, and never mentioned in X...

kinda sexist ting 2 say but why an all female cast could put at least 1 dude dress sphere kinda cool

So do you love it or hate it then, pleae put more effort in your post, tell u s what you like/dislike thanks

I agree, I loved the game. I can understand why people may not like it but it's not as bad as a lot of people make it out to be.

I loved the game because of the story between Shuyin and Lenne. The reason why I love it is because it reminds me of my ultimate fandom....The Phantom of the Opera :P

At first I didn't like the battle system but grew into it. The dresspheres were a bit of a turn off (again) but like the battle system, I began to like it. I didn't like the fact that there were only 3 people to play. I usually like it when there is a bigger group of people like in X.

I liked the side quests and seeing Wakka, Lulu, and Khimari again. I wish we had more Auron though. :auron:
