Lv 99 Red Chocobo!

Basically there's a 1 in 256 chance of it apperaing but i've been trying to get this swine to appear for a while now (about 3hours gameplay) and still no sign of it.

So who's seen/killed it and how long did it take you?

I'm starting to deny it's exsistence.

As long as your patient enough it will show up, so stick to it and eventually it shall show. and when it does and you kill it, you will feel so much better.

well you have have 1 in 256 chances once you have obtained the Treaty-Blade and killed six or more chocobos in Ozmone plain hope this helps

I'm positive that I found it in the Ozmone Plains, almost directly next to Jahara. I was unprepared for such a fight and unaware of its ridiculously high level and, as a result, promptly had my hide handed back to me, in the form of an unpleasant "Game Over" screen.

During my first playthrough, It was the first Red Chocobo I came across. So I thought, ah, a good quickening will sort it out a bit. How wrong I was, and I most certainly got my ass handed to me 8D

He'll either spawn near the Jahara entrance on the bottom corner of the same map screen.

Easiest way to get him to spawn is probably not killing the chocobos, zoning 2/3map screens away and comming back. The better way is to start with the black chocobos near the Jahara entrance, use "Sleepga" and then "Break." Once they've turned to stone and dissapeared, go to the black chocobos at the bottom corner of the map, and do the same again. By time they've turned to stone and dissapeared the black chocobos at the Jahara entrance will have respawned, so it saves you zoning away.

Keep repeating the Sleep & Break combo until the Level 99 Red Chocobo spawns.

Exactly...follow the above strategy and have patience. Make sure you don't underestimate him, he is much more tougher than Trickster and can kill you if you are in lower levels.

And yes he exists i have beat him, tought it all depends on luck and patience.
