I wanted to know if anyone here has ever been in love. I dont mean puppy love i mean truly in love . What effect did it have on you? I was in love once and the person i was in love with Was the first thing i thought of when iwoke up in the morning and the last thing i thought about before i fell asleep.I spent every waking moment thinking about her. The way her eyes sparkled. The fell of her skin. and the tatse of her lips. I wanted to know if anyone else has ever been in a similar situation and your thoughts about love.Currently i have someone i think about all the time...i could defnitely see myslef loving this person eventually...you know who you are if youre reading this.But i dont know if i want to be in love again.If you have indeed been in love has it impacted you in a positive or negative way?

I have. It was horrible because, no matter how hard I tried, she would never feel the same way, which tore a hole in my heart. It was as if she would go with any other person who asked besides me. I've even had plenty of dreams and whatnot about her, but it just made it even harder (no pun intended). It definitely will have an effect on me later, because I don't know if I could ever pour so much feelings into a person as I did with her and not get anything back. Such a horrible feeling.

I was once, almost two years ago. Back there I was cheerful kid whose main reason to live was spending some time with his friends. Then I met her. Everything was normal until I discovered that she was cheating on me with my best friend. Kind of stupid isn't it? Well since then I became a cold hearted man, lost all trust on others, and stayed alone. She broke my heart and since them I don't have one.....
Now I'm beginning to trust others again.....

True love is something that no longer exists, it's like a faded dream, a memory that vanishes in the first rays of the morning sun. True love is indeed like a dream, a dream that only lasts until the next day.
 
The first time I ever really loved somebody was a few years ago. He was a year older than me, and from the first time we met, we just clicked. We got along great, always hanging out together. We never got mad at each other, or shouted. I couldn't quit thinking about him after awhile, and I started to get up the nerve to ask him out, but he ended up moving.

It had a very postive impact on me, and it showed me there was somebody that cared enough to listen to my worries and stand up for me. But it really made me sad when he was forced to move.

Hey man were friends and all but i completely 100% disagree with you. True love is real and everyone in the world has that one special person they will feel it for. I have experienced Love before and it was a great thing but it passes.True love never fades. True love is often under our noses. some people just dont know where to look.... :: walks away ::
 
I was in love too with a guy for six years,but he never understood that I loved him.The one that made me feel even more sad was that he liked one of my best friends and he had told me that.
But at least now I got over him.
 
The concept of love is far too vague. I mean just about everyone in the world will say theyve been in love....but it seems in my opinion that no one knows what true love is. or maybe they just dont want to know. I long for true love with all my being but it seems like its nearly impossible to achieve.

Double-standards, anyone? :P

It also really grates on my nerves when you get folk, younger than me, coming out with things like "I love you so much, how will I ever live without you?" ... a few days later, he/she's saying it to someone else, so on and so forth.

Well i am old enough to know what i am talking about. And yes people who are like 10 saying theyve been in love before is utter nonsense.
