Doctor Who

The Christmas special wasn't anywhere near the best one. Kylie was a bit... meh in it.

I agree. Clive Swift's character (the guy who pretended to be an 'expert' on Earth and one of the few survivors at the end) was by far the best thing about it. Otherwise it was largely disaster movie-by-numbers. Not bad by any means, but I preferred the previous two Christmas shows.

It just felt a lot like The Poseidon, but in space to me. And it was a very cliched plot line as far as Doctor Who is concerned. I'm starting to think that Russel Davies is maybe starting to lose his touch.

I think Russel T Davies episodes have usually been not as good as those by, say, Steven Moffat. He tends to be a better producer than writer.

And yeah it was essentially The Poseidon Adventure XD

Well, Davies is actually leaving after the fourth series. I think you'll be crying then if the storylines are dry ...

I am sooooo jealous of you British folk.

Doctor Who comes on tonight at about 6:30 pm, BBC1.

One of you had better tape it, or record it in some way.

Then give me a copy :monster:

I am going to watch it, memorize every part of it and record it.

Then upload it, edit it to make every voice a quote from FFVII:AC then black out all the faces.

Then I will send it to you.

I hate you, you do know that right

anywho, I'll probably find a torrent download somewhere though :neomon:

Just watched it.

What a way to start a series.

First of I hate Cath Tate I really do, but Donna's attitude should be amusing. There is a very funny part where they finally see each other after narrowly missing each other about halfway through. You will laugh.

Big Spoiler.

Rose, right at the end, you will see her walk away.

Eh I completely missed it.....anyone know when the repeats on? I just put BBC1 on and kicked myself repeatedly

Repeat?

Well maybe in a year or so...

Nah it should be on one of the other BBC channels sometime in the next week.

Seeing Rose walk away at the end was the best thing about that one, really. It was a poor episode, I thought. The Adipose situation just didn't seem interesting or all that serious really...

I think the whole episode is setting the series up as a whole.

It's basically going to be one big joke except for the very serious parts which are going to revolve around Rose. And yes that part right at the end I swear sent shivers up my spine, it took my a few seconds to realize it was her while it was still looking at her back. One epic moment right at the end of a rather comical episode.

Not the best episode but a few amusing moments between the Doctor and Donna and the opening episodes to each series recently have usually been no more than decent anyway. The Rose bit near the end almost made it all worthwhile I felt, nice moment.

Pools, I was so shocked that I wanted to literally scream that she was there! But I obviously couldn't.

Bambi, it's repeated tomorrow on BBC3 at 8.30, I think. Or maybe BBC1. If not, then it's definitely on BBC3 at 8.30 on Friday.

I just wanted to scream at the episode because it was AWESOME! Catherine Tate has made my day (yeah, I've had an eight hour shift at work today. You catch my drift?). She was so funny ...

I watched the Confidential programme and all Russell had to say about Rose was that we'd have to keep watching it.

There's so much I could say, but ...

Oh yeah! Aww, weren't the fat babies cute?!

oh another thing.

New opening music, is the most epic yet I swear it sounds like The Black Mages got their hands on it. XD

For the sake of my Doctor Who mood, I just started a Doctor/Rose fan club. Join at your own risk. Plus, in two days, it'll be the anniversary that I made this thread. Fancy that ...

And I actually noticed the music did slightly change to what it normally was this time. I thought it was just me, but I see it's not now.

Bah, like Bambi I also missed the episode >< I'll be sure to watch the repeat though since I saw like the last 20 seconds and I'm interested.

Although
that part where Donna was waving to her Grandad just looked so...Fake =/

The storyline's just literally addressed to obese people in Britain. If only we could have something like that pill here ...

And also, I thought Donna looked high on weed when she did that.
