I hate the dentist >=[

As for dentists having their hands in your mouth, yeah I hate that too. Once my orthodontist was messing about with my braces when I had them, and he did something that damn hurt and I kinda went "argh!" and accidentally clamped down on his hand!!! He started getting annoyed with me saying "you really really mustn't bite my hand it hurt" but what the hell did he expect!? It was quite a natural reaction! >_<

I don't mind the dentist so much, though it's not as nice now I can't have the space gas. I used to just make myself as high as possible and that made things go by really quickly, but now I can't have it and I feel the injections when they are happening, and being conscious is no fun :huh:

I never really used to mind until I fell off that house when I was 14 or something and I knocked a tooth out. That was many many big needles and wire thru my gums to keep the tooth in.

Iv been petrified of the dentist ever since -_-
 
Urgh. I hate my dentist, those rubber gloves are really horrible, and all I remember months later is that he's Ginger and that he annoys me.

I mean...who trys to start a conversation with you when they have their fingers in your mouth. I mean really.
 
I do not hate, nor like dentists, but I find it necessary if we want to keep our teeth nice. The only thing I despise is the minutes of not being to move or do anything.

I am lucky, my dentists usually keep their mouths shut and concentrate on their work. This classifies them as Good Dentists :gmonster:
 
I always fight an urge to bite his fingers when he puts 'em in my mouth...especially when he shines that horrible light in your eyes.

You're blind, unable to speak, have strange fingers in your mouth, and smell nothing but Listerine. It's like hell...but at least you can get bubblegum flavored tooth polish (I don't know what that crap is called).
 
That's it! Man. That was driving me crazy last night. The word wasn't coming to me.

Bubblegum > grape, though. Grape be overrated. Anything's better than that mint crap, though.

Yes, I hate going to the dentist too. I hate the feeling of your own saliva thickening with mixture of blood and water...and all the while you're trying so damn hard not to swallow it, but you can't really speak and spit it out since your mouth's all stuffed up, and they're too busy working.

And then they try to converse with you and all you can really do is nod and roll your eyes.

But after all that, it's all worth it anyway. :D
 
I had that damn need to spit.

That is by far the most annoying thing ever, I always think Im gunna end up choking to death or something. I lie there thinking if I swallow he'l end up slipping and Il get jabbed or something, but if I choke Im doomed ;_;

I really widh they could just knock me out with that gas stuff -_-

Ahhhhhhhhhh, I forgot all about that. All that damn spit builds up as he/she is cleaning your teeth. You don't want to swallow out of fear of gagging on it, but you don't want it to build up to the point that you drool all over the place.

Swallowing a mouthful of saliva is pretty gross...

Look at the bright side, the dentist won't probably allowed you be get drown with your own saliva and all that stuff. It would be one of the worst kinds of death (unless you piss him/her off a lot).

Well no, they won't allow you to drown with your own saliva. xD They do pause for a few seconds and urge you to spit, then get back to work. But then the saliva builds up very quickly and before you know it, you have to spit again. And it takes them awhile to realize that their patients are in dire need of spitting some bloody saliva!
 
They've never stopped and let me spit, I just gurgle away wishing I could swallow -_-

Yuck I know what y'all mean btw. I just do my best to breathe through my nose and hold it there, until it's time to spit again. It's gross, but it's about the only way you can handle these things.

Cheer up, the appointment will be over before you even know what's happened to you :D
 
Its next wednesday, can't remember what time but I think I got given a card. Its a half an hour appointment aswel. I might just curl upin a ball and cry :wacky:
 
I've only been to the dentist 2 times in my intire life. Personally, I didn't dislike it that much... I had no pain at all. I just went there to put that mass thing in the molars and job done.
However, I've had some nasty teeth pain and I can say it's not properly pleasant.
