I don't know if this belongs here, but who hear thinks Kingdom Hearts should have a bit more swearing (excluding F & S) you know, like crap, damn, and hell (i know, Axel said this in CoM) Just amp up the rating to M. Mostly only teenagers like us play it, and in KH2, I think it was based for teenagers. I mean, they are 15- 16, we swear, a lot! So who hear wants to hear the fav characters swear? (not like a sailor)

My cousin plays it and he is only eight, I think its inappropriate for a game containing disney characters to start swearing.

Because its aimed at all ages and I think that it is fine the way it is. Why do you want it more realistic? You have plenty of games on the market that aim for that realistic feel, gladly Kingdom Hearts is not one of them and should never aim for such a thing.

sorry, didn't mean it that way, just tired, don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to turn it to a swear a palooza(i hope i spelt that right) i mean, just the occasional hell when they've been cursed with bad luck, you know they're all about 16, being that happy is a bit odd, and i know how you feel, not the Disney characters, just the FF and Riku or Sora

Yeah, i can understand where you guys are coming from, and agree with you. I'll just shut up now

I wouldn't mind a bit of cursing. I think that the newer game with Ven, Aqua, and Terra is going to be completely different from the other games. All the characters look of age, and the CGI sequence at the end of KHII Final Mix was far from pansies and daisies. To be honest, I wouldn't mind a small bit of vuglar language if there are voices that would work well with the characters.

Also, Kingdom Hearts Fun doesn't seem like the right forum for this thread. :S

Then where could it go?

the fact that it has disney characters in is kindof the reason they dont swear coz you dont hear on an episode of mickey mouse on tv him swearing at the other characters so why should he do it on the game same with the rest of the disney characters they dont swear in the programmes so they wont in the game

Oh for the love of ...

You're actually complaining that there wasn't enough swearing in the game? Why bother? Having Sora scream "shit!" instead of "Oh no!" really serves NO benefit to anyone. They're as realistic as they're going to get as it is.

No no no, just have the bad guys swear, and not to extreme, like hell or damn, nothing like what you said, thats to extreme. Just the bad guys, not sora, riku, or the Disney cast, maybe Final Fantasy, coz they swear quite a bit .

I think that that would be pretty funny, but not exactly nesseccary(bad spelling D:) though they do swear in some disney movies a little, so its not like if Sora says 'dammit!' it'll be the end of the world or anything.

I think its all right just the way it is. I dont think swearing would do anything to the game it wouldnt make it better at all. And i definatley dont think the game needs to be rated M, because my parents won't let me have M rated games (which sucks). but ya swearing isnt always necessary in every single video game. there still needs to be games out there that everyone can enjoy.

I think it's fine the way it is, I mean, they put Cid in the game and to my surprise he didn't bring his potty-mouth, (Maybe that's why they haven't put Barret in yet.) I mean Kingdom Hearts is for all ages, so swearing isn't nessacary. (But KH uncut with the swearing will be good for people who want it.)

Darkstar, when you say M rating, are you in Australia? Where M means 'mature Audiences' or are you talking about America's M, which I think a few curse words would give it T, not M.

Yes, I am talking about Australia's M, and down here, all PS2 Final Fantasys are rated M

I don't see how vulgar language is necessary...

Maybe for laughs. I'd be amused if Sora started spewing racial slurs.

I dunno. Swearing can have its effects, but you can write an entire epic without relying on them - frankly the musical score would be able to do the same job of creating tone (except for the fact that KH is depressingly underscored with the same exact track being used for every emotional scene).

Also, that idea would NOT clear past Disney; swearing would drive away a lot of child consumers (or rather, child consumers' mommies and daddies). Disney is a corporation at heart - it's about profit.

Okay, before you post in this thread, read this first! Okay, in CoM, Axel says, 'this is going to be one hell of a show'

That is what I mean! Just the bad guys saying minnor stuff like that, it just adds to the epicness of the character, I don't mean full on swearing like f*** or s***! Just hell, or damn. very minnor stuff. Now, post your ideas on this.

POST YOUR THOUGHTS BASED ON THIS POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Doesn't make too much of a difference, really. It might add a different dimension to their characters, but I feel it's unnoticeable in comparison to attempting murder and whatnot.
