Hai Grimiore. Be nice to us Survivors now. You don't get too much out of Blitzball, IMO... Besides a LOAD of fun. It's even more fun when you cheat and create the perfectest team EVAR. Holy shit. The spellcheck is saying perfectest is a fucking word. ZOMG.

It's crazy fun. Also, you can recruit and make your own team. It's fun.

As mentioned earlier you also get Wakka's Ultimate Weapon. Defantly worth it.

You get many items like Elixirs ethers and stuff which are useful in the begining of the game.
You also get rename cards to rename your Aeons, as well as many spheres for the grid.

I did, after I figured out that you can actually use him for the cheapest price imaginable.

Besides, Wakka is a great asset to the blitzball team if you train him right, and set him up for the right abilities. Just be sure to put him into offense mode, as his shot is pretty powerful.

Also, yeah, you can get a variety of things from Blitzball, and not just potions and stuff. You have to be patient though, and it will get easier the longer you play it.

The Attack Reels Overdrive can rack up an insane amount of damage once Wakka's stats are maxed out. Great against some of the tougher bosses in the Monster Arena.

Yeah without winning some blitzball tourneys, you cant get Wakkas Celestial weapon to work.

you can get a move for wakka called aurochs spirit if you teach him all his key abilities.

Besides all that, I thoroughly enjoyed the break it provided from the storyline and the two Jecht Shot’s you obtain later on in the game…

Those are some pretty good reasons to play it but I'm so bad at the sport that I can't even win a single match! I guess I just need a LOT of practice. I'm not too keen on the game anyway, it's alright but it gets boring for me quickly. It would be nice to actually win a game though.
