Who doesn't like this movie? I mean seriously. These 3 movies are my all time favorite movies. Anybody else like 'em?

Oh, thank God. I was almost certain that everyone to post after me would be in disagreement.

At least there's you.

Those movies are incredibly boring. Lord of the Rings should be a doctor prescribed sedative.

Tch. Yeah the battles were the best part.
Well, the music score was pretty awesome too.

But then again, as in most all movies modeled after books, they didn't stick to the storyline and guess what, I thought it was stupid not following the books, so there. =(

I wouldn't have minded them having 20 different movies, just stick to the storyline.

ive never read the books. My mum says there really good but im not a reader, maybe someday when i grow a brain il pick the book up.
oh and yeah the music was pretty damn good

yes the books are good but the difference between the books and the films are a major downside between the two

Exactly.
I can't believe they only do that 'cause it cuts down the screen time.
Split it up into 20 different parts, I say.
Just let the book be.

yes by making films it demoralises the books and creates confusion among readers and movie watchers 'damn you peter jackson'

All right, all right.
I for one did not say that the movies were bad, I mean the effects were awesome, just the storyline should've had more tweaking.
Even though my opinions above I still keep, those movies still rank in my Top 10.
So, yeah....

Yeah yeah you're excused. =P

But to say that simply because a movie is not breath-takingly action-packed does not whatsoever mean it is overrated. XD

I though your trademark was ;D
or something....
*pays an absurd amount just to use it*

LOTR doesn't deserve status overrated.
I've seen worse movies getting overrated.
Or rather movies that advertisers hyped up and in the end it bombs....
Sad, ain't it? Go Ishtar, Battlefield Earth, 'Gigli'....

I loved the story, the acting, and all that stuff. The only parts I wasn't huge on were the romance scenes...could have done without those.

I liked the LOTR trilogy. yes there a little overrated but what isnt now? Star Wars is overrated, Marvel movies are overrated Harry potter movies are overrated.

I liked it though - it was quite a faithful adaptation of the books despite missing a lot of stuff out.
