After your demise, would you prefer to be buried? Cremated? Or would you prefer to donate your body parts, so that others may live?

Oh yeah, I'm moving in on Rydia, AG and Mitsuki's Poll territory! And what?!

Personally, I'd prefer burial. Although I see nothing wrong with cremation, since it saves space on an already overtaxed earth, I would like to stick to tradition. There's also something very peaceful in the spiritual aspect of burials. Giving back to the earth which gave us so much. I'd offer to donate, but I'm always afraid If I'm ever unconscious or in a position where I wouldn't be able to determine my own fate, then the doctors (or someone) would see that I'm a registered organ donor and cut the life support, just to get at my body parts. That's also why I'm not a registered donor on the back of my drivers license!

You forgot to add a poll. :P

I'd probably choose burial too. Don't know why really. I guess I'll just let the family decide what they want to do with my body.

No I didn't... You can see the poll, right? Damn it. Did I do something wrong?

Back to the topic, you'd let your family decide? Wouldn't you want them to follow your edict?

I have an organ donor card. When i am dead, however that may happen, they can take from my body whatever they need to either make someone's life better or, indeed, save someones life. I wont be needing those bits again after all.

As to whatever's left of my body after the free-for-all, cremation. I have already agreed with my husband and family what should be done. Cremated and then half my ashes scattered on the River Derwent in Derby UK and half scattered on the River Derwent on Hobart Tasmania.

Oh, never mind now I can.

Well I figure that I'd be dead and it wouldn't matter what happened with my body. XD So they can all decide.

I would prefer to be buried. Like you stated, there's a sense of tradition in that, and I really cannot imagine being cremated or having someone pull out my organs and such. =/ Sure, I wouldn't feel a thing since I'd obviously be dead, but still...I'd rather be in one piece - although that would change too over time, but whatever. >.<

I would prefer to be buried, Im failry religous so id follow tradition i dont like the idea of being cut open and spread around the world to people and i dont want to be burnt particulary. Although i might have green burieal......

Buried, I'd stick with tradition. I know this sounds strange since I'd be dead at the time, but I don't like though of being locked in a coffin with six feet of Earth above me.

Definately Burial for me. It would give my family somewhere to come and talk to me, pay respects, rather than be a bunch of dust that will inevitably end up blowing away anyway

Cremated - i dont want to think of worms eating my body after ive died and id like to be put in an urn so i could watch over my family XD

and btw

Its OUR poll territory bitch!

XD i jest

...i dont want people griving at my gravesite because i wont even be there

But if people grieve at your grave, it would provide them with a sense of closure, of hope.

Its OUR poll territory bitch!

XD i jest

Oh, it is so on buddy! XD

Cremated mainly because ive heard of people coming back to life in there coffin, and i dont fancy being buried alive, so cremations for me.

What if you came alive during the cremation ceremony? You'd rather be burned alive?

I'd either like to be buried at sea in a steel tube or encased in frozen carbonite after I die.

id rather get cremated screw rotting away under the ground for years, just burn me up then throw me too the fishes and il be a happy boy

I'd want to be buried like the rest of my family bedore me, I'd hate to have someone rummaging through my body and pulling out what they want

But if you're dead what does it matter? What if your eyes could give a poor little blind boy the ability to see for the first time? Wouldn't you want for that to happen?

I'd like to be encased in frozen carbonite after I die.

Cryogenics are very expensive, rare and cost even more to maintain. If you're rich, famous and influential only then can you entertain that possibility.
