FFXII HD REMASTER PETITION!!

Yeah I don't think a petition is going to cause this to happen, but I think it will happen. XII is the only Final Fantasy still locked out from some kind of modern gaming device, and lots of people are asking for it. Now that we know FFX and FFVII are coming to PS4, I would expect to see FFXII getting a port there as well. Maybe not a full remaster, but an enhanced port of some kind. I also think Square Enix's ventures into PC gaming bode well for FFXII getting ported. From every angle what we see SE doing is putting old titles back out on new platforms and watching them sell like hotcakes (even if the fans do moan about the ports' quality). It's only a matter of time before they exploit XII. Who knows, maybe it will fill the gap between Type-0 HD and FFXV.

It's sad, but very true. Square isn't concerned with XII's HD: Remastered. They can barely handle themselves. They have way too many things to be focused on and XII is not its priority list. Why do you think that they won't make a remake/remastered FFVII? Not because the fans, but because they simply don't have the time or resources to do so. That's why they released FFVII for PS4 but no added content--they acknowledged the fans...somewhat. "You want a remastered FFVII?" All they heard was "FFVII" so heck, why not through that sucker on the PS4? No hard work or money spent and we'll still get profit... the most important part--we'll actually be listening to our fans. "I mean they did say they wanted FFVII, right?"

I can't remember how well I enjoyed FFXII.. I was to on and off with it to fully grasp the story and sadly, I don't have a copy of the game or PS2 to try and replay the game.

So I wouldn't mind, I just don't think it'd happen.

Oh shite! That's a very great point there! They obviously think little of such things as petitions, etc. They don't even have it on the PSN! I mean, even then would be better than nothing at this point. It's not like it's FFVII where it has multiple platforms to play it on. If they can't release it on the psn.. or just don't care too [because its not all that popular, i suppose] they will overlook everything else.

but is it worth Square wasting time, effort and resources on? the game doesn't have that big of a following and it would be financially irresponsible for them to remake a game no one is willing to buy.

FF7 had one, and i wouldn't even say its a big following, the beauty with remakes is that its not about following but gaining a new one.
