Do either Crisis Core or any games in the Final Fantasy VII series allude to how well known Zack is? He was a 1st Class SOLDIER. He was in a troop with Sephiroth and (apparently) trained under Genesisisisiseshhiesisises (or whatever). So was he well known? Was he a publicly recognized face? Did people even notice his disappearance?

Why wouldn't they when he was assigned to such an important cartel and was such a high rank within Shinra?
 
I'd assume he was a well known face in Shinra at least. At the beginning of Crisis Core there were only three first class soldiers. So I think it's safe to say that people would notice if a fourth person was to make it to first class.

If the player performs the correct actions in Crisis Core, Zack can get his own fanclub like many other 1st Class SOLDIERs. Known simply as the "Zack Fair Fanclub", the player's actions determine its popularity by the end of the game.

Also there are times when Zack is refered about in the FF7 original game. He makes a appearance in ffac too and Cloud remembers him.
 
yes,if you play a certain part of the game,you do get a fan club,i got it,but i was just playing the game and dont know what triggered it,they appear in many places,the people y7ou talk to will recognise too,and whats ffac,oh wait,its advent children,i will watch it now,at the end of ac,when cloud died,i read somewhere that the last 2 images in his head was aerith and zack,is this true,did cloud even die for that matter??
 
I think it's because at the time, due to the MASS defect that GENESIS did with the 3rd and 2nd classes. They were keeping quiet about what was going on inside SOLDIER. When Zack makes first its after Angeal and Genesis have both gone. So I think they were keeping quiet about what happening.

Plus most of the news revolves around Sephiroth, as in the orignal game he is made out to be the only well known 1st class. And in CC it reveals he is more of media puppet used to keep the public happy.


They simply say Zack was killed in action. But due to the conditions Zack beocmes 1st, I dont think he is ever pushed into the media anyway.
 
Aye, as you see in a Zack Fair fanclub will be created as you play and you as Zack can join it too, at first when he was promoted he obviously wasn't know. However, he was know the SOLDERs branch only, as the game progress around Angeal and other things and the receptionist create your Fanclub so he was know at the end of the game and you should play CC to know how none noticed his disappearance.
 
During my playthrough of CC, I didn't think that Zack seemed all that popular. Like Aki said, it was probably because Shinra was dealing with all of the Genesis-related stuff, and were attempting to keep SOLDIER on a low-profile.
 
I think he is popular, but not that much like Clous Strife. Remember, Zack played an important role in Cloud's life. He saved Cloud that's why we have to thank him. :D
 
Yes he is well-known at the time before Hojo experimented on him but people really did notice his disappearance because if you would recall you received a mail that it said there Zack,Sephiroth,Genesis and Angeal were killed in action so basically they may gotten over it
 
It is NEVER said there are only three 1st classes before him. We are only aware of 3 at that point in time due to the events of Crisis Core.

I would like to see at what point Angeal and Genesis become 1st Class as it is stated Genesis joined to be like Sephiroth. So we can assume Sephiroth was 1st class before any of the three.
