So i`ve wanted to discuss this fight for a long time now.

I`d like to hear peoples opinions before posting a responseXD

But my personal opinion is Zack. I`ll be arguing for his side a couple of times.

Chaos is allowed.
 
Vincent would totally win a fight against Zack.

So I voted for him. He's much strongest, dead,
sexier
and has awesome transforming abilities.
 
I think Vincent would win. He is faster, and excels in medium-long range. Vincent is more of a short range kind of guy. Oh yeah, my favourite characters are Vincent and Zack, but Zack is just cooler.
 
IMO there is no way base vincent without chaos is taking this. Base vincent is most certainly not faster than zack. Zack has feats that put him in the double mach digits....like cutting missiles out of the air, and dodging machine gun bullets from all sides.

Plus he could block bullets with the utmost ease as a second class. And he took lots of shots before downing in the end of CC.
 
True, but Vincent could just wear Zack down until he is exhausted, then pump him full of lead. Also, Vincent has the slight ability of delusion because of his cape.

By the way, I was referring to Vincent with Chaos.
 
Vincent has a copy-off of Spawn's cape. Vincent did a lot of what you describe, in DoC. Vicent's very fast as well, faster than Zack at least. At counting "cutting missiles in the air in half" as a feat isn't really a feat. Any FF character can do those types of things :P

Well not really:mrgreen: any FF character can, only the ones to have been shown that speed.

For example, squall was unable to react to machine gun fire, therefore we can assume zack is faster than squall by a good margin since he can do that in his sleep.:ohshit:

Cloud could react to lightning, and to sephiroth better than zack, so we can assume Cloud is faster than zack or vincent by a good margin, this coming from that they haven't shown anything comparable, and the creators stating sephiroth is the strongest being of FF7 and that Cloud is stated to be his rival:shakefist:

If for example one were to assume Tidus was faster than Sephiroth, we'd need to compare the speed they've shown outside of gameplay. And Tidus hasn't shown any speed comparable, therefore i'm driven to assume he doesn't have the speed comparable.:yay:

If someone were to argue that zidane has the same durability to energy blasts as cloud, it`s entierly possible. Since both combatants have shrugged of city destroying blasts from bahamuts. But that`s something you can`t say for either zack or vincent for example.

If someone wanted to argue that lightning is faster than zack, they would need to show her feats of blocking bullets, and etc. But light for example has no feat that puts her above zack cutting missiles or dodging bullets from all sides.

If somene wanted to argue Terra would be able to fight cloud, they`d have to show she has faced someone who moves as fast as clod, or that she has a feat that puts her at the same speed as cloud(roughly mach 300+). If they for example can`t, then i could assume she wouldn`t even be able to see cloud moving(like when tifa as unable to track loz) and consequently would be unble to win.

If i wanted to argue that vaan could break the barrier sephiroth conjures at the northern crater, i`d have to show him doing some damage bigger han the city destroyer beam that hit it, or something of the nature.

And it goes on like that...............

Though i guess vincent does have merit in speed considering he dodged bullets at almost point blank. But i don't know if his chaos form can compare exactly to zack dodging bullets from all sides.

His chaos form fires lasers, but zack did take many bullets to get down.

Though i doubt zack will tire out in a battle, the only one who ever did that was sephiroth himself, and it took a whole army to tire out zack:caps:

As a fighter, definitely Vincent Valentine. Strong, focused, and determined. Yeah, Zack has all these things, however, Vincent seems to be stronger. (Although he had some, ah... help.)

But as a person?

Zack. i love Vincent in all, but his head is stuck in the past. He seems to brood a lot, whilst Zack seems to try and lighten the mood, and move on.
 
I'm going with Vincent.
Considering Vincent shot missiles out of the air instead of slashed them... either way that's a missile dodged. haha.
Vincent also has Long-Range, Medium-Range, Short-Range and melee. Plus Magica and transformations while Zack only has melee and magic and his DMW, Zack's melee meaning his sword, where Vincent uses his fists and feet.
 
Without materia Zack wouldn't be able to touch Vincent but with it then he could probably beat him. Whether or not there is materia is the deciding factor in my opinion.

You mean vincent in Chaos form? But chaos for vincent can still use his ordinary materia can he not:wtf:

Because giving zack materia would certainly give him the win here then.

Why do you believe chaos vincent would dwarf zack?
 
I don't know anything abut his Chaos form, only about his Galian Beast. With materia Zack has the advantage because of his soldier background (i.e. Jenova cells and mako energy). But without materia Vincent can keep his distance with his ghost-like movements and shoot.

It is true if vincent can keep his distance he might be able to shoot zack down(thugh it took a ton of bullets to slow him do enough to actaully hit him). But IMO its not going to be easy agait someone like zack, wh could fight the weakest incarnation of sephiroth somewhat competently.
