Your favourite game soundtrack?

Mine has changed a fair bit, NieR is definitely in there, it has a brilliant OST and most of them are lyrical tracks which is quite surprising, and it's in a made up language too, although there are Japanese, French, German and English influences in the lyrics. It has quite a variety too, some more upbeat songs, some sadder songs and others that are just pleasant on the ear. I would rate it up there with my favourite OSTs of all time.

Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep OST. It's by far my favourite out of all the games released, like NieR, it has some more upbeat songs, sadder songs and ones pleasant on the ear. The character themes are definitely some of the better tracks. I'm glad they kept some of the original songs even if they are remixed a bit.

Final Fantasy VI.
This! Best soundtrack ever made. They really should remake that shit so the game can have a full orchestral soundtrack. I'd buy it just for that. Let alone the fact that the game is one of the awesomest ever :3

The best video game soundtrack I have heard and own would have to be Wild Arms 1 or 3. I can't really decide between the two because 1 had my favorite songs, but 3 had more good songs. Both of them have this nice, country feel to them while still adding different styles to the feel. Most songs are based around acoustic guitar, I think that's why it has the country feel. The singing was awesome as well. Until I found these games and their respective soundtracks, I would almost say that Michiko Naruke (composer) is at least at par with Nobuo Uematsu and Yasunori Mitseuda. You should definitely give them a listen when you can.

Though no one's probably heard it and if they took the time to play the game they probably stopped due to the semi-horrible gameplay (if you play it enough...A lot, you get used to it), but the soundtrack was amazing;

Unlimited SaGa

Final Fantasy VII has my favorite soundtrack.
I have nearly (if not) the whole soundtrack on my ipod, but I think most of them are piano collections, not a big deal. The songs are unforgettable and make me feel so nostalgic, that game and the songs gave me lots of memories and they'll stick with me for years to come, I just know it. I love it so much ^_^

For me its Dissidia: Final Fantasy for combining all the different FF songs together and adding some new songs. I also like the Kingdom Hearts II soundtrack.

I have many favorite game soundtracks, however a all round favorite? It'd be a tie between Mass Effect and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. If I 'had' to pick... Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. The music is so atmospheric, it fits the game perfectly. So moody, haunting... I love it.

Second I'd have to say is FFVI, but (of course...) I'd have to say Mother 3 is my favorite by far.

The fact that the game is so emotionally kickass and the music helps A LOT just makes the music 10X better. You can easily see the meaning to, since a lot of them have lyrics. The Love Theme obviously shows signs of memories and hapiness, but the lyrics talk about a "Dark distant town with sadness set out" and "No matter where I am I will still be your life.", giving it multiple meanings. Sorrowful Tawmily is the SADDEST SONG that will EVER be made when you listen to it while you watch what happens, but the lyrics (possibly fan-made by vicsedobean on Youtube) talk about hope and the strength of your heart. (and of course Duster's leg being permanantly being broken.)

Some of the lyrics of Sorrowful Tazmily are in my signature. XD
