Yeah, I loved Al-Cid's accent too. I liked his character and wish there had been more of him.
 
Yes, I thought the speeches where great. In fact, I found that most of the dialog was extremely well written, especially with it being on more mature level.

I also thought that Square did a great job with the (true English) casting of the voice actors. Something that I hope to see in future installments.
 
Overall, I thought it was an improvement on X, and more characters were actually speaking this time around.

One point of critique: Marquis Ondore's accent. :P I wonder where they came up with that. I thought it was a mix between a Jamaican and German accent, to be honest. xD
It would have been better if he was given a German one though.

Also Vaan's speech. Not exactly emotional, almost bored even, even when the plot demands emotion, it doesn't seem like the voice actor gave it that much force. It was too plain, apathetic, and therefore boring. I shut my ears whenever he spoke. Not to be mean, but that's how I feel.

As for the others, it improves over time, so I'd give voice acting a 9/10.
 
Yeah, agreed with the English feel to the character voices. Never actually associated it with royalty myself, but hey, good point.
