Alright, this is by far the hardest boss I've encountered so far in the game. I've attempted three times now but I keep getting my ass whopped. So here I am training in The Aqueducts (about to take a break actually) and I decided to make this thread in the meantime.
Does anyone have any helpful tips other than a "Give it all you've got" tactic? Because I do use my most powerful combat and mystic arts, but that's not the main point since there is a BIG hindrance: my own 'terminated' unions.
My battle rank is 65, which is actually quite high enough for that place, I think, yet I keep struggling. There is a boss before him (Harpylia) and I am unable to save in-between the bosses, so I really don't want to waste anymore time defeating two bosses consecutively.
The formation I use is "Unicorn" and "Arrow of Athlum" but I don't know if that will affect the battle any. As a matter of fact, I still don't quite get the whole formation thing so I don't really bother with that, but if a formation helps, anyone have any suggestion?
Now, the main thing that makes this hard is that when one of my union is terminated, Gates Of Hell will bring them back using Pandemonium and they will be on HIS side! Their attacks are more powerful too and one thing leads to another: my 'enthralled' union will terminate my other unions until there is only one union standing, which pretty much means Game Over. (I have a total of four union) It's driving me nuts!
Worse, the freakin' Boss seems to do multiple attacks that does not help the situation any. I believe it all comes down to 'tactic' now since hitting it carelessly doesn't seem to help anymore (even though yes, I will select a turn in which I will Attack and Heal at the same time, but he still kills me anyway).
